I learned about Frog Pond Cafe on Trip Advisor. We stopped there twice after long days of hiking in the Cape Breton Highlands National park. I had the best latte there of any place that we tried on the island and the Frog Pond giant cookie was the best! Fun, funky atmosphere with the bullfrogs croaking in the background. Loved... More

So if you're not careful u will miss this little coffee stand. Shame on me for not asking her name but she is a lovely German lady that makes delicious and real lattes. This little gem is tucked in from the road. In front is a yellow house. There is a studio and art carvings that r creates by her... More

Recommended by a local person, found at the far end of the town, village! Painted a beautiful yellow, and in we pulled. A spotless, unique, delicious experience. The owners were welcoming and we sat by the pond. It is light far, au de pain, filled with feta and olives, or cheese blended variety, chili pepper with cheese, and chocolate filled!... More

What a great place for an out of this world London Fog tea and blueberry muffin. Sitting in this quaint little cafe overlooking the pond while chatting with friends and family is very relaxing to say the least. Great spot to enjoy speciality coffees and tasty sweet treats. Next door is the sunset gallery displaying Bill Roach's folk art carvings... More

What a restful place to stop after hiking the Skyline Trail loop in Cape Breton National Park! This small outdoor cafe has under cover seating overlooking a lovely pond. We opted for the veggie pastries, root beer and a skim latte to share, enjoying the frog pond and its surroundings and the helpful service too. Overall, much, much better service... More

We stopped off for coffee and desert at this quaint spot. Worth the stop. The lattes were excellent and the baked goods tasty. The pond and green room are quaint and worth a look.

Cape Breton Island is a magical place, and the Frog Pond Cafe (and adjoining gallery) is the quintessential illustration of its friendliness, beauty, and artistic depth. This is an idyllic spot in which to enjoy spectacular coffee, cappuccino, or ginger beer and munch on excellent pastries while sitting on the beautiful deck chatting, listening to the Celtic harp, the wind,... I am a little biased because I know the folks who run the Frog Pond, but I have to say that there is simply not another coffee and pastry shop that offers such quality products in such a perfect atmosphere. I am there quite a bit and I hear the comments from the travelers around me that they were looking... More

Ok - this is still the best coffee and sweet in Chetticamp (and anywhere on the Cabot Trail - and arguably the best pastries in North America) AND this year they have a screened in cafe area - so you can go there on chilly days (which we don't seem to be having this summer). Did I mention the wonderful... More

The frog pond has become as important to summer in Cheticamp as sunshine! Always a breeze blows through the cafe, Mike plays the Celtic harp and lovely pastries await you. This is a place to stop and truly enjoy life! Chat with barista Claudia listen to the frogs sing. You will not regret it.
