Best sandwich ever!!

Loved the herring choker sandwich- the half size had me busting! Was probably the best sandwich ever!! Do not pass this place! In fact, get in your car and make a special trip there! (Hehe) seriously, it was that good. The restaurant is adorable too!

Stopped for lunch one day - soup was tasty and sandwiches were substantial. All nicely prepared fresh. Reasonable prices.

We went with friends who live in Baddeck, so they obviously know the best places to eat! The bread selections are wonderful, many choices for your sandwich, hard to choose from all the selections. You cannot go wrong and if you choose soup and a half sandwich, you will be treated to a great soup and sandwich. Friendly staff, good... More

Stopped here for coffee and breakfast 'on the road'. Friendly and speedy service, good menu, great granola and fruit, good coffee. Plenty of room, provisions too. Worth stopping

This small cafe was recommended to me from friends in PEI. What a find. The establishment is right on Hwy 105.The menu offers real food. Nothing processed. Awesome vegan choices. Your plate is made with fresh produce, awesome breads....and the soup is like grandma would have made. Guaint surroundings, great service.

What a find! Recommended by our North Sydney B&B, if you are on the Trans Canada and want some lunch near Baddeck, don't go into town but try this place just a few Km to the west on the Highway. Quite busy so decided to have takeaway. African peanut soup, tuna curry wrap, lobster sandwich. Freshly and quickly prepared, nicely... More

We were looking for a restaurant when our motel did not serve breakfast. The Herring Choker Deli Cafe was a perfect place. Small, homey and homemade healthy food. Our breakfast sandwich was on large delicious bread and cooked to perfection. Next we selected great desserts for snacks. Really yummy!

We tried the butternut soup and a smoked beef(10.45) on dark rye. Both were tasty but the bread was outstanding. The soup came with biscuits with cheese sprinkled on and were good too. The best however, was the chocolate square (2.60)with the frosting that was in the "best "category. Everything in the bakery case looked tempting and I have no... More

The service was very good and friendly. We had the lobster and Herring Choker Club sandwiches along with coffee. The sandwiches were extremely delicious and I would recommend them to anyone, but were a little bit on the expensive side for sandwiches for those traveling with a budget.
