Would you ship ????

When my daughter lived in Cape Breton, she introduced me to the awesome oat cakes that you bake. Unfortunately she has relocated to my area ,(ha ha !!) and unless she returns to visit her friends and family I am unable to get any! I hide them in my freezer and am very selective who I share them... read more

We ordered 2 1/2 smoked meat sandwiches with small couscous salad, one lobster sandwich, a diet pepsi, san peligrino and a coffee = $45. not impressed. Plus the food was..well? Boring. No pizazz. The couscous was tasteless. Not enough mustard on sandwich though I requested extra. Great homemade bread, good meat, fresh lobster and yet...something was missing. It looks like... More

I used to go here years ago and decided to stop by. We ordered sandwiches. They were fine; nice hearty homemade bread, real Montreal smoked meat, lobster, etc. However they weren't awesome. I asked for extra mustard and didn't really feel like I got it. The couscous salad was bland. It was frankly kind of boring. The bill for three... More

While I was in the area I had muffins from the Herring Choker a few times. (blueberry, apple, oatmeal) All of them were delicious. I also has both the white and whole wheat bread. I am still craving it now that I am home. They were delicious, a little chewy and a lot yummy

I stopped here after driving down from Cape North. Lovely little deli with a surprizingly broad selection. This is a small shop with just a few tables but it seemed most folks took their sandwiches to go. I ate mine inside as it was a bit windy but there are also a few tables outside. There were only three workers... More

On a Wednesday afternoon eight of us stopped for lunch. The place is adorable. The menu beautifully presented. Baked goods...I have no words and the brownies and oatcakes...heaven. We all had something different from the menu. All enjoyed. The bread was home made and the ingredients fresh. Before we left we purchased three of every baked good offered and four... More

Great place for soup, sandwiches, baked goods. A very yummy curried tuna on porridge bread and African peanut soup.

Great location on the trans-canada. Their sandwiches and baked good are delicious. Sandwiches and wraps are made to order on fresh baked bread.

We stopped for breakfast on our way from Baddeck to Cheticamp and it was so good we ordered lobster sandwiches to go. Thick sliced homemade bread, fresh pastries, good coffee... Welcome addition to the area. Nice way to pack a lunch for hiking in the national park, if you remember your cooler.
