Right across the street from the Telegraph Inn. Breakfast was simple but good. The baked goods are excellent. Got a box lunch for the Cabot Trail and really enjoyed the sandwich with the fresh-made bread. Great people!

Had breakfast here twice, everything from toast to bagels to scones to eggs on their menus. Reasonably priced and pleant of outdoor seating to enjoy Baddeck's main street while you fule up for your day!

Looking for a good local place, we decided to try this deli. Service was good but the sandwiches were average. Bread was good but the meat and cheese were skimpy. Actually the bread stole the show. It was the best thing about the meal. It's one of those places that when you leave you can say" Well, I'm not hungry... More

Friendly staff too. We had breakfast here for 2 days. It was delicious-oatmeal, fresh fruit bowl, coffee and couldn't resist a blueberry muffin and bagel. I like my bagels more dense but flavor made up for that. Besides, I had the blueberry muffin. We just had chicken and quinoa soup with fresh whole wheat bread, for a late lunch. It... More

We had the pleasure of staying in Baddeck for several days and made a point of stopping in at the High Wheeler Cafe every morning. All the baking is done on the premises. They offer wonderful, healthy options (homemade granola, egg white sandwiches, oatmeal and the traditional eggs platters). Truly a GEM! Don't miss the cinnamon roll. You've never tasted... More

This hit the spot- tasty homemade food, fresh baked goods, friendly staff and lovely town. Highly recommend- the porridge bread, oatcakes, caramel pecan bars and seafood salad!

Stopped here by accident because it was the only place open in the morning in early June. The place was a real find! Great breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. Others in the party had scones, muffin and the apple turnover. We all enjoyed the food so much that we were regulars for our remaining days in Baddeck. I noticed... More

We stopped here after Donelda's Puffin Tour. It was finally sunny so we were able to sit on the patio. The portions looked huge so my friend and I shared the Highwheeler Sandwich and we had the sweet potato and lentil soup. It was delicious! We also split the best apple strudel I've ever had. Everyone in our group of... More

We started early to make our way around the Cabot's trail. The High Wheeler cafe was open at before 7AM, and provided us with an excellent latte, a very good toasted bagel with salmon, onions, cream cheese, and capers, and a fantastic apple turnover. We came back the next morning and had the same again.
