The scones, cinnamon buns and all baked goods are the best on the east coast. The sandwiches for the road/trail packed up ready for travel were outstanding - everything was awesome.

Stopped here for lunch and order the Seafood Chowder and asked for some tap water as a drink. The chowder arrived with a basket of two large biscuits (scones here in the UK) too sweet to go with chowder and the preverbal biscuits. The chowder was just a milky mess with little bits of something floating in it, certainly not... More

Best cinnamon bun ever- full of brown sugar-yum! Stopped for a mid-morning coffee and snack and were treated to deliciousness. My partner had a fresh, blueberry scone-the word delivered on it was "heaven". Eyed up the peanutbutter-filled,chocolate dipped shortbread cookies and had to say "no"- how stupid of us, what were we thinking 😩 leaving those babies behind! Get there... More

While walking through Baddeck, my wife was looking for a place to get something to quench both her hunger and thirst. We came upon this place, and were not disappointed (well, okay, just a little, as I didn't get the shortbread cookies that looked amazing). The cinnamon bun that she got, was excellent, although everything looked great - and the... More

super friendly service. Delicious breakfasts. We ordered sandwiches to take to Cape Breton NP with us. The homemade breads are fantastic!

Picked up sandwiches for a picnic on the Cabot Trail. They were excellent especially with the homemade bread they recommended. The desserts were terrific. Very friendly staff. Wish they had been open for dinner!

Awesome "spider cookies", a no-bake chocolate coconut macaroon. They are like fudge with coconut. Good veggie wrap.

For that friendly at home part of the family feeling, you have to go to the Highwheeler cafe. Their food is always fresh, and delicious. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from and something for everyone, whether vegetarian or not, also gluten free choices. It's a family owned and operated Bakery/ cafe, and they truly make you... More

This was a pleasant surprise to find this place. We had eaten at another restaurant in the area for supper the night before, but when we found this for lunch we were very pleased. Most of the food is made right there and it has a bakery in the restaurant area as well. The soup was homemade and delicious, as... More
