I always eat at the Yellow Cello when I am in Baddeck. First of all, I love the food. There is a wide variety of items available on the menu and the meals are quite big and filling. Second of all, I like the service. Always friendly and accommodating. I like that most times when I am there, there is... More

Two of us had an excellent light lunch. Restaurant was going to close for the season in a few days, so not all the menu items were available. We had soup and a club sandwich. Both were very good, and the bread is made in house, which is a plus. Enjoyed our meal and surroundings, as we sat in the... More

After reading thru some of these reviews, I have to guess we were just lucky. But we had a very good pizza & salad and very good server. Was served promptly and friendly. Enjoyed sitting outside with a partial view of the lake and docks.

We ate here one and both mornings when staying upstairs at the Greenhighlander. The food was substantial and reasonably priced. The service was good and we enjoyed our meals

We had not eaten at the Yellow Cello for some years and only had time to stop in for breakfast on this trip. The restaurant was busy and in the light of this service was fast efficient and polite rather than friendly. The food was plentiful and wholesome but not exceptional and the cost was reasonable. We were a little... More

Great pizza, homemade soup and the famous "dome dog", made with a gluten free Nova Scotian foot-long dog, are on offer at this Baddeck landmark. The atmosphere is casual and cheery, the service is great and they use local ingredients in the soup when possible. It's a great spot; check it out!

I ate here three times, over a weeklong trip to Cape Breton, and would heartily recommend the Yellow Cello. Whilst the decoration is fairly minimal, the food itself was top quality, and delivered very quickly and with great, relaxed humour. On different occasions I had the seafood chowder, artichoke dip, and monster hot dog - all great, and with a... More

The restaurant has a lot of charms and cheerful. Very low-key and relaxing. The waitress was very informative and dead on with her recommendation. We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed ourselves. Every one there was very friendly and you can feel that you can be part of the community there if you live in Baddeck.

One of the best veggie pizzas we have had in a long time and our server, Eliott, was sweet and helpful. We will definitely stop again for pizza the next time we are in Baddeck. Good prices. Great crust.

This place won my heart when we dashed in for lunch and announced we had to be out of there is 30 minutes to catch a boat. They bent over backwards to help, telling us which items were the fastest to prepare, getting out food out pronto, and cashing us out before we asked. In addition, my BLT was delicious!
