Wong's is a plain, rather gloomy place on Baddeck's main drag. Do not expect elegant surroundings, cozy ambience, fine furnishings, comfortable chairs and exquisite service because you won't get any of those. What you will get is middling to good, ordinary, American-style Chinese food in a plain, loud, no-nonsense setting. Egg rolls were standard issue (and likely mass produced), but... More

There is nothing good about to say about our meal at this restaurant. The waitresses were running around like they were busy, but there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied. The food was not fresh. The fried rice tasted like it was a boxed mix, with no fresh vegetables, egg or meat. The pieces of chicken in our sweet... More

What a nice surprise! They serve EVERY type of food which was a big surprise. Nice place, very clean. My husband had traditional chinese food - which was excellent. i had the special - which was grilled haddock and fries - it was the best i had! Very fresh food and made to order. Highly recommend this place.

We ate here one evening while in Baddeck. It was later (8:30) and not many restaurants were open. Given the reviews, we had some worry and did not want Chinese. We stuck to the basics - toasted western sandwich and BLT and fries washed down with a Kieths. The food was surprising tasty all things considered and we enjoyed the... More

We went in this " eatery" a couple of nights ago whilst visiting Baddeck. Looking in the windows it seemed busy so we thought it would be good. When walking in , there were tables like a greasy spoon cafe and I asked if there was another part and they said yes, but not asked if we wanted to go... More

Food quickly served the first time we visited but the second time the meal was not nice. Bad choice on my part.

That's right - the title says it all. It is definitely the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at - i really wanted to give no stars for my review, but apparently that is not possible. My husband and I were driving the Cabot Trail and we were starving so were forced to stop in this town to eat. In... More

No surprises here. Not authentic, but good for what it is.

I ordered the chop suey and house fried rice. Both were awesome. They had a haddock special on that members of our party had. It was also very good. Waitress was nice. Restaurant has zero ambiance. More like a cafeteria feel to it. They really need to makeover the place. It actually is slightly embarrassing. Clean interior though and a... More

Like most of the restaurants in Baddeck, Wong's is short on overall quality of food, atmosphere and value. We visited for dinner one night after several disappointments with some other local eating establishments. Unfortunately our experience with Wong's was underwhelming: the decor screams late 60's greasy spoon with clear plastic table clothes and cheap chrome chairs. Wong's attempts to be... More
