Nice motel in the main street

This is a nice motel in the main street of Baddeck, everything is walking distance from there. The motel is not luxurious but we just wanted some decent place to stay the night and the overall experience was great. The girl at the front desk was very helpful, got a crib for my little one and even... read more

Well located house and motel in Baddeck, easy to get to within the town. Overall very friendly service and rooms reasonably priced. Having said that, don't expect anything too flashy. The rooms are clean but the towels have some suspicious looking patches on them, and the rooms are in a need of refurbishment. There is a dining room on site... More

You would never look at the front of this restaurant/motel from the street and expect a great dinner, but that is what we experienced. The restaurant was recommended by an Englishman who lives on the island and has experience in the hospitality industry. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was a native Breton who could not have been more helpful.... More

My family and I of 4 had dinner there and all the menu items sounded amazing and we were very excited but the food was not even close to the description, for example I had a filet of beef and scallops with a sabayon for $38 there were 3 tiny slips of meat that were well done and I ordered... More

We all ordered different dishes & the food was VERY AVERAGE. Menu Board sounded MUCH BETTER than what was served. we ate inside & it was cooler but very buggy because they kept the door open to the patio.

Went here for an anniversary dinner while on vacation. Formal dining room has a "set back in time" feel with a vintage odor. Menu was creative but difficult choices for one in the party who does not eat fish. Expensive. Nice outdoor porch seating was closed for a group. We did have fun going to the restroom and were able... More

At first I was upset to be in the "motel" section, but it was meticulously outfitfitted with all we needed (refrig included) and quiet....even though lots of families around us. We really appreciated the location in the heart of Baddeck.

Good food, didn't throw me off my seat but it was very good and fresh, nice chef, he came out to speak with the customers, nice restaurant and ambiance.

We were very disappointed with our meals and drinks for the price point. $12 for beer and $18 for Lobster Risotto. The Risotto was very plain and there were 2 small pieces of lobster on the top. The lamb meatballs didn't have any substance and our friend left hungry. We thought it would be a nice place to splurge and... More

Rather formal dining room, over pricey and small portion size. Description of food given by delightful waitress was much better than reality. The large menu and specials sounded good. However Lambs liver while nice was very small with a few sauté potatoes and over cooked leeks. The lobster risotto was slightly better. Very disappointing.
