My daughter and I stayed her for 2 nights and drove th Cabot Trail at the end of May. The restaurant wasn't open yet. The staff were very friendly and helpful with tips for places to see and eat. We sat on the front porch and enjoyed the sun. The eggs benedict and french toast was simply delicious and filling.

This is a very small and pricey restaurant. Nothing on the menu is "normal" food. It was good, but would not go back.

We appreciated the service in this hotel. It is a historic building with a long history. Take your time to read the information board about Dunlop's family and the room of Alexander Bell in this hotel. If this room is not occuppied by some visitors, you can give a look. We took a cottage Nr 40 which is located outside... More

George is a Brit, and of course, we normally think of British cuisine as devastatingly bad. However, George is really an artist, having matriculated as such. He approaches food as an artist would. I.e., creatively, with verve. As a plus, you cannot find a grain of wheat gluten in what he will prepare for you.

We had arrived into town, and wandered in as walk-in. Fortunately we just missed the tour bus crowd that was just finishing, so were able to be seated immediately. Fabulous menu and some tough choices to make. The service was great ... attentive but not obtrusive. The halibut was excellent. My favourite, the pumpkin cheesecake ... to die for! Not... More

At the Telegraph House we had the finest meal of a week in Cape Breton. The appetizer menu alone is worth the visit, with the halibut tartare to die for. Everything on the menu looked delicious, and our server explained each in detail. Ant the desserts! Pumpkin cheesecake both light and rich, with a drizzle of maple syrup. This is... More

We drove to Baddeck on Sunday evening of the Can Thanksgiving weekend for dinner. I had known this as a prime place to dine, this was reinforced by a bold sidewalk sign offering Thanksgiving dinner for walkins, and a departing couple who offered praise for the food they had just enjoyed. Upon presenting ourselves, the host declared seating would take... More

We were stunned at the high level cuisine we found here. This restaurant serves delicious food; had the halibut and an excellent salad. Top notch seasonal, organic, local food. The service was also wonderful. We would definitely go back.
