If you're staying in Baddeck, make certain to eat at the Bell Buoy restaurant. It has a great location and a homey atmosphere. The food is super fresh and everything is homemade. We ate there several times during our week visit. The staff made us feel like locals. The biscuits were out of this world and the seafood - haddock,... More

The staff was friendly and informal. We had excellent local seafood and great blueberry pie. The place was filled with locals, all of whom seemed to be enjoying themselves greatly.

We ate here on our last night in Baddeck after a recommendation from some people we met at our hotel. We had a superb meal overlooking the waterfront. The service was quick and very friendly. We also enjoyed listening to the live music.

Baddeck itself seems to be lacking good restaurants. We ate there a couple nights and found it difficult to find anything that was not geared to the tour bus or family crowd. Almost every restaurant was serving exactly the same menus. An innovative chef could make a killing in Baddeck. We chose the Bell Buoy after walking the town and... More

We didn't have any lunch so we were ready for Dinner. Had the Lobster Sandwich way too much mayo and not enough lobster. Chowder was ok not great. Hubby had the Crab Cakes and chowder. Well we are from Maryland do I need to say more. Pricey and not very good. Waitress tho was great.

Enjoyed a great dinner here on September 3 with 2 friends during our first visit to Nova Scotia. The fried shrimp was delicious and came with a view of the harbor, good service and nice ambience with live dinner music.

My wife had ordered the chefs plate. Really good plate of food for 35$ lobster. Salmon and scallops with shrimp. Tasted awesome. But my lobster sandwich was a different story, priced at 15$ the lobster in the sandwich was nice. But the bread was pretty much cardboard. Server was great. Waitress was nicer after she made my kid cry, not... More
