Good food and good views

Perhaps the safest choice in Baddeck. We went a couple of times and enjoyed a reasonably good meal. Price is moderate.

We had only time for quick lunch stop in Baddeck before heading back to Sydney to turn in our rental car and board our Celebrity Cruise. The waitress promised quick service and delivered . We enjoyed a truly phenomenal crab cake appetizer and then further enjoyed our local seafood dishes. It's helpfully close the Bell Museum if you plan to... More

There was a table of 12 when I went, and the restaurant did not seem equipped to handle it. My table and many others waited far too long for our food, and when it came it was disappointing given the price. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go again.

The Bluenose Chowder had fresh large chucks of Lobster, Scallops,Salmon, and White Fish. What a delightful experience. The lobster Sandwich was made with fresh made bread. We had other Lobster Sandwiches during our trip, but this had the freshest Lobster and I think I prefer the bread to the bun.

We arrived in Baddeck around 2 p.m., on our way to Cape Breton National Highlands Park. We were just passing through but we were hungry for lunch. Immediately, we spotted a lovely red restaurant where the sign by the street said "OPEN". But it had finished serving lunch and would next be serving dinner at 6 p.m. We asked where... More

My meal here was not cheap, but the singer/guitarist made it well worth the price. Local beer (Big Spruce Oatmeal Stout), fresh fish, and arguably the best homemade blueberry pie and ice cream on the island.

We ate at the restaurant twice and both times the food was great - fish and chips and taco fish were the best. The fish chowder was good. Service was much quicker the second time as it was not as busy. Great servers.

Came highly recommended, but we found it just average. The "view" is over and through several buildings, so it is not breathtaking. The staff was friendly and service was good, but the food was just OK and a little pricey.
