We stopped in for lunch and were told by the waitress that the lobster roll special was available for only a few more minutes and they still had some left. We bit. When the check arrived one was $19.95 and the other was $21.95. We felt that we had been hustled. The food was good but a "hustling" waitress really... More

My husband and I ate dinner here one night in July 2014. We asked if we could sit by the window to enjoy the view, and we were accommodated. But they also have a nice outdoor patio on the front that looked tempting. I was born on the east coast- so I grew up eating tons of seafood. The food... More

I have made eleven trips to Cape Breton for the Celtic Colours music festival. On my first or second day in Baddeck I wandered into the Bell Buoy for a late lunch and I was hooked. The menu is basic maritime seafood, superbly prepared and served with a smile. In fifty or more visits, I have had virtually every entrée... More

We have not eaten in the Bell Buoy for several years but were happy to find that the quality of food was good as ever and the portion size increased. Service was quick, professional and friendly. One of the best restaurants of many good restaurants in Cape Breton and our favourite in Baddeck. Prices are fair and diners are never... More

Had lunch at this restaurant last week. It was really good. Both my husband & I ordered the lobster sandwich & bluenose Chowder. Both were delicious! The sandwich was served on homemade oatmeal loaf bread & I prefer a French or Italian roll, but it was still good. Lovely view & great service.

Stopped off the afternoon of our arrival for something light. I had the lobster roll and chowder and my wife had the crab cake appetizer. The staff was helpful in selecting a beer to try and adjusting the items ordered. The food was good. While I would probably go back and try other menu items we didn't during our week... More

We had two enjoyable meals at this family owned and operated restaurant along the Bras d'Or Lake in Baddeck - food was very good, service perfect. Good place for a nice dinner or quick lunch.
