This was our first meal in Baddeck and we enjoyed the informal atmosphere and very good seafood. The meal included seafood chowder, assorted side dishes, excellent mussels, and a good lobster with dessert included. Our waiter, who was the son of the owner was friendly and chatted about where the seafood came from. We enjoyed the dinner and thought it... More

We've been here before, great food then and yesterday the new all you can eat came in handy for my love of mussels. Atmosphere could use an update but the food and service was perfect .

We read in our tour guide book that this place was overrated but we wanted to give it a try anyway. No regrets, that's for sure! We had endless mussels, lobster, salmon, chowder and all the works. Great food and amazing home-made desserts as well. This was our best dinner during our entire 2 week stay in Nova Scotia!

Our experience of this matched one review recently who said don't go and we wished we had not! Having to pay up front is unusual and an indication in hindsight of insecurity by the proprietors in terms the quality of what is offered. The environment is no frills and that is ok if you serve simple food done well! This... More

The seafood lovers in our group appreciated the all you can eat mussels and the clam chowder got a lot of compliments. Pam, our server, was wonderful and came to check on us often. The lobster and crab were a great size and thoroughly enjoyed. The menu also had a vegetarian option of a portobello mushroom burger which tasted great.... More

As we were driving to Baddeck we saw signs for the Baddeck Lobster Supper and it just happened to be close to the hotel. It is a quaint family restaurant. Great service. Helpful staff. The crab was good. My friend had the salmon and said it was the best salmon she has ever had. The dessert was scrumptious. I would... More

It begins with an amazing seafood chowder. More fish than cream. Next is all-you-can eat mussels which are cooked to perfection. The main course is steak, crab, lobster or maple planked salmon. We had the salmon and it was one of the best meals ever. The salad dressing is a secret recipe and hard as I tried could not drag... More

We spent all day traveling the Cabot Trail and as we approached Baddeck it was raining, badly! We were ready for a warm, welcoming place to have our dinner. And yes, we found it! The staff were very professional and nice. Food was amazing! We had a great dinner!

Price fixed menu with 4 choices. All choices were delicious and abundant. Lobster, crab, salmon or steak and they come with appetizers, and soup and desert. Good fit for kids too.

It had been a while since we had been to Baddeck LS and in the intervening years new owners were in place (introduce yourself - they are great people). The premise is the same, moderate price, unlimited appetizers and desserts, one entree. The difference is a new chef (in the family) with a more sophisticated palette who brings more flavor... More
