We ended up at the Lynwood Inn after walking the town and comparing menus. We had difficulty finding the food we wanted in the town of Baddeck. There appeared to be dining options outside of town and at the Golf Club but they were either closed or too far to drive (we had done the Cabot Trail that day). So... More

Yesterday we had lunch here before starting our tour of the Cabot Trail. Today we finished our drive we an evening meal at the Lynwood again. Service was great and the staff were very accommodating. Great variety on the menu. My husband had steak and I had trout as well as a great lunch yesterday. Lovely big older home that... More

Had dinner here. The chowder had a floury consistency, almost like paste. The breaded haddock was paper thin, breaded to the hilt, and over cooked. Made us wonder if it was really haddock. This is a place to avoid although the waitress was friendly.

Food and service is over-priced. Chowder was excellent, but everything else was just average or below average quality despite relatively high prices. Service was friendly but inexperienced and presentation was pretty rough. Save your money - there are plenty of other restaurants with better food in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lynnwood Inn, the staff were SO friendly and wonderful. We ate dinner at the Inn and the meal was just delightful, nothing over the top fancy, but plentiful and very tasty. The evening entertainment was the most fun, the whole room was singing along, nearly every table was full and it was just... More

Friendly wait staff, but decor is tired and the food was the worst we have had as long as we can remember. Seafood supreme was recooked seafood in a lasagna dish with mushroom sauce and cheese. And the lobster and mussels were cold and mushy. Chicken soup came as beef barley. If it weren't for the wait staff and live... More

The dining room of the 1869 house is decorated in keeping with this period with high ceilings and hardwood floors. The menu is modern and includes fresh local seafood. We had the fish and chips. The fish was verry good, the batter crisp and not oily or starchy. The chips, I think could have been frozen that were deep fried,... More

Right in the middle of Baddeck, it was pleasant to sit outside and our server was friendly and nice. But food really not good at all: haddock tasteless except for sodden breadcrumbs, floury chowder, etc. Lots of better food choices in the area.

We came for breakfast on our way to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. The food was lovely and served in good time.the tea was just right and the service was fun ranging from one very chatty friendly waitress to one who told us she was working 14 hour days to the lady on the till who seemed completely disinterested in... After a full day of touring around the island we did not pick a winning location for dinner. Our dinner was uninspiring and lacked sophistication. The whole place was kind of like eating at your great grandmothers house; you know the cook is trying but is a bit out of date with everything.
