We really enjoyed our stay at the Lynnwood Inn, the staff were SO friendly and wonderful. We ate dinner at the Inn and the meal was just delightful, nothing over the top fancy, but plentiful and very tasty. The evening entertainment was the most fun, the whole room was singing along, nearly every table was full and it was just... More

Friendly wait staff, but decor is tired and the food was the worst we have had as long as we can remember. Seafood supreme was recooked seafood in a lasagna dish with mushroom sauce and cheese. And the lobster and mussels were cold and mushy. Chicken soup came as beef barley. If it weren't for the wait staff and live... More

The dining room of the 1869 house is decorated in keeping with this period with high ceilings and hardwood floors. The menu is modern and includes fresh local seafood. We had the fish and chips. The fish was verry good, the batter crisp and not oily or starchy. The chips, I think could have been frozen that were deep fried,... More

Right in the middle of Baddeck, it was pleasant to sit outside and our server was friendly and nice. But food really not good at all: haddock tasteless except for sodden breadcrumbs, floury chowder, etc. Lots of better food choices in the area.

We came for breakfast on our way to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. The food was lovely and served in good time.the tea was just right and the service was fun ranging from one very chatty friendly waitress to one who told us she was working 14 hour days to the lady on the till who seemed completely disinterested in... After a full day of touring around the island we did not pick a winning location for dinner. Our dinner was uninspiring and lacked sophistication. The whole place was kind of like eating at your great grandmothers house; you know the cook is trying but is a bit out of date with everything.

We ordered what was supposed to be fresh haddock with chips and fresh vegetables. What came were thin, triangular shaped, flat breaded things, runny with oil or grease, don't know which. I think they were probably frozen fillets. They were inedible. The veg was tasteless, but I forced them down because I was hungry. Tried to eat the chips but... More

We had dinner here one night of a week long stay in Baddeck. The food was terrible, the presentation was terrible and the service was just possible. The interior atmosphere is over done and garish. The deck is ok if you like sitting on the edge of a parking lot and street corner. Lots of much better choices.

Our shocking experience began when the unappetizing sliced bread was served with those nasty little pre-sealed butter containers. I went to open a butter container and found that it had already been opened and most of the butter cleaned out -- meaning someone had used it and the container was placed in our basket. This means that the restaurant is... More

The restaurant server was a delight. She was friendly and a good waitress. The lobster was local and tasted wonderful. I had local lake trout which is the best I have ever had. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. You can eat indoors or on the terrace.
