First off, the service was really bad. We waited over 45 minutes after ordering before our food appeared. During that time we had one server tell us it would be a few minutes (actually, almost 30), and "three minutes" (more like 10). No apology. One server whom we asked, in desperation, offered "more bread", not noticing that no one had... More

Appears to be a family run business that is very short on money. Drinks hardly had an alcohol. Food on a plate was the minimum to call it a meal.

Enjoyed a good meal here, with good service. Treated the children to lobster which was very expensive for what it was, and tasted a bit dry to me - which maybe how it is meant to be, I don't make a habit of dining on lobster! Just a little disappointed on this one dish for the price we paid.

An extremely busy restaurant, we obviously arrived the same time as a coach party. However, the was not apparent in the service which was both friendly and very efficient. A delicious tasty meal that you could imagine was home cooked, if the place had not been so packed. Highly recommended.

We had a very good experience the evening we ate dinner there while we were in Baddeck, NS. The service was great and the food tasty. Would go back there again.

We had the opportunity to be in Baddeck recently , during Celtic Colours and ate at the Lynwood Inn. Our choice , fish cakes was a good one. They were very tasty and you can have either homemade baked beans or cottage cheese and chow. We actually ate there twice and had a different waitress the second time. We were... More

We came to the evening with high hopes of one of our final nights in Baddeck, but were sorely disappointed with mediocre food. The vegetables were mushy and steamed, the trout was very fishy (close to too old), fish cakes were more like fat latkes, bread was nearly stale and cold, hard. Food was so far off from what we... We were pleased with our accommodations at the related Inn, and we're really looking forward to the meal that evening. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and the staff were friendly, but the food was disappointing. We were informed that several favourites on the menu were unavailable, including lobster, chicken, and all battered fish. Our meals were just mediocre, and when... More

We had a very lovely waitress, that is where it ended. My onion soup must have been in the pot for days, my fettuccine was mushy and the sauce was worse than store bought, and my husbands 'campfire' trout was deep fried with frozen vegetables, bad coleslaw and bland potatoes. Needless to say we were incredibly disappointed. With such a... More
