We stopped here for lunch as part of our cruise tour. The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was good. But there was nothing healthy to eat. Heavy sauces and creamy salads. Good old fashion home cooking. But a wonderful view of the lake.

First night in Baddeck and because of late arrival simply jumped in the first restaurant at crossroad. A warm welcome later, found ourselves seated in a Victorian style ambience. We had a nice meal, family style. We were also lucky to enjoy our meal listening to a guitarist and singer from NS. Fish was on the menu. Another opportunity to... More

After a busy day of hiking we went looking for a place to have dinner when we turned the corner in Baddeck, NS and saw the Lynwood Inn. Luckily they had an opening and we were escorted to our table. Interesting wine list -many local Nova Scotia whites and reds. Then to decide on dinner we had a very helpful... More

This inn was on a list of restaurants provided by our motel. It is a beautiful old inn but the food was very disappointing. My wife ordered onion soup to start and it was terrible. The only good thing she said about it was that it was hot. For her entre she ordered mussels in a wine sauce. When it... More

We ended up at the Lynwood Inn after walking the town and comparing menus. We had difficulty finding the food we wanted in the town of Baddeck. There appeared to be dining options outside of town and at the Golf Club but they were either closed or too far to drive (we had done the Cabot Trail that day). So... More

Yesterday we had lunch here before starting our tour of the Cabot Trail. Today we finished our drive we an evening meal at the Lynwood again. Service was great and the staff were very accommodating. Great variety on the menu. My husband had steak and I had trout as well as a great lunch yesterday. Lovely big older home that... More

Had dinner here. The chowder had a floury consistency, almost like paste. The breaded haddock was paper thin, breaded to the hilt, and over cooked. Made us wonder if it was really haddock. This is a place to avoid although the waitress was friendly.

Food and service is over-priced. Chowder was excellent, but everything else was just average or below average quality despite relatively high prices. Service was friendly but inexperienced and presentation was pretty rough. Save your money - there are plenty of other restaurants with better food in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lynnwood Inn, the staff were SO friendly and wonderful. We ate dinner at the Inn and the meal was just delightful, nothing over the top fancy, but plentiful and very tasty. The evening entertainment was the most fun, the whole room was singing along, nearly every table was full and it was just... More
