Wow! That about describes the food served here! We stayed 3 nights here while hiking in the Cape Chignecto Park (September 2012). The dinners were to die for - tender steak, a generous helping of scallops, fish (haddock, I think), .... Breakfast one morning was pancakes - and what a dream they were. Adding syrup was almost an insult to...

We have eaten many, many times at the Wild Caraway, since they opened and even before they were at their current location in Advocate harbour, NS. Sarah and Andrew's attention to flavours, fresh foods, innovation and customer service has always made each visit wonderful. While they are more than a 1/2 hour drive from our place in rural Nova Scotia,...

(in November) We planned an autumn return visit (in November) to Advocate Harbour only after ensuring that the Wild Caraway had not yet closed for the winter. We stayed at Reid's Century Farm and Tourist Home, and made sure we had reservations for supper on Saturday evening, and for the ever-popular Sunday brunch. The restaurant was busy on both occasions....

All the great things you hear about this place are TRUE! The homey atmosphere is charming, the staff friendly and the food wonderful. Sarah and Andrew are a great asset to this already charming village and a perfect stop after enjoying the nearby attractions like The Age of Sail Museum, Chignecto Park, Cape D'Or or the beach.
This restaurant is pretty amazing. The decor is whimsical and lovely, the food delicious, as are the drinks. It's well worth the trip to Advocate Harbour to eat at this gem. You may want to make a reservation ahead of time to avoid disappointment. We'll be repeat customers for sure!!

I had been told my numerous persons that this place was a "must do " even though it is a long way out of the city. They were correct and I was delighted both with the exquisite dinner on par with the Bicycle Thief or the Press Gang in Halifax and with the excellent breakfast. It helped to have a...

My husband and I stumbled onto this restaurant on our way to Parrsboro and we totally loved it! The place is relaxed and unpretentious, they have funky delicious cocktails (I had the rose martini, made with rose petals water!) and the food is scrumptious! And the desserts!!! soooo good!
The service was great too and the best part, everything was...

If Canada had a michelin star rating system, I reckon this would be a 2 starred place - minimum. All the guide books recommend this place but to be quite honest, I don't think they do it justice. To put it simply, if you come to Nova Scotia and like to eat out, you must come here.
The things that...
