Wild Caraway is truly one of the loveliest places to enjoy fine food and great service. Tucked into an old house on the main road through Advocate Harbour reservations are a must. From our table in a bay window looking out over the Bay of Fundy we enjoyed amazing food served by friendly staff. Our seafood entrees - halibut for... More

Advocate Harbor is rather quiet and lovely, not many people in September. We didn't expect to find a restaurant of this caliber in the little village. It rocks! The chef is, well, a real trained chef who knows his herbs and combinations. We were delighted. My husband enjoyed the seafood chowder--loaded with seafood, light, seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed the butternut... More

Having lunch of seafood chowder and fishcakes was a pleasure. This was one of the best chowders we have had. Fishcakes were very good but not quite as good as the chowder. Good sized servings, no room for dessert. Prices reasonable for quality.

We were two couples who heard of this restaurant from our server at a well known Moncton restaurant...So we had to venture out to try this establishment. None of us had been to Advocate Harbour..the drive down was wonderful..Beautiful sea views. Well worth the 1 hr drive from Amherst NS.The service from the start was wonderful. We each had an... More

Wow, what a find. We were told about this place by our innkeeper and he was right. It was fantastic. We had lunch here. I had the fish cakes and my husband had the chowder. Both were incredible. The fish cakes were served on a bed of home baked beans - different - and accompanied with a corn salsa. Excellent.... More

This little gem was a recommendation from a friend (thank you Mike). The owners of this little adorable B&B in Advocate Harbour and an amazing team and their creations are absolutely amazing. Home grown natural ingredients are their forte! I had grilled haddock fillet on a bed of creamy seasonal vegetables - melted in my mouth. My husbands steak was... More

Locally grown veges, fruits, seafood.....all cook and served with great seasonings. Not to be missed. Glad I made a reservation, this place is popular and can fill up at night, even though the area is very rural.

We hadn't been planning to visit the Wild Caraway. My husband and I were actually searching out ocean kayaking places and took a wrong turn to a visitor centre. The girl at the desk told us that Advocate Harbour had the best restaurant in Nova Scotia, so we had to check it out. The restaurant is actually a a hundred... More

I feel compelled to write again on the superb cuisine served here. We visit this area a few times a year and the main reason is The Wild Caraway. I had Pork and Scallops, pork belly, seared scallops, shitake mushrooms, scented rice, and sauteed beet greens. Cooked to perfection and pleasing presentation.. We also had superb fried chicken and mouth watering fish... More

I have eaten here many times over the last few years and it is a superb restaurant. The food is always fresh, mainly locally sourced (local halibut, scallops, home cured meats and so on). Andrew is a star chef, could work anywhere (indeed has worked in the top restaurants in Melbourne, Australia) but seems to love being able to present... More
