Wow. This place was amazing. We came for lunch and were wowed by the food and atmosphere. Don’t miss this place! Advocate Harbour where the Wild Caraway is located is not exactly on a main highway in Nova Scotia but it is a easy, scenic and worthwhile drive along the Bay of Fundy shore on a great paved road, The restaurant is in a restored older home overlooking the harbour which has, in addition to the restaurant, two very comfortable rooms... My wife and I are Australian and in the "Over 65's" category. We spent 8 days touring part of Nova Scotia in September 2014. Apart from in Halifax we stayed in B&B's at Liverpool, Annapolis Royal, Windsor, Parrsboro and Amherst. Being Australian, fellow guests and B&B owners quickly advised us there was an exceptional restaurant named Wild Caraway, owned by... More

I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was outrageously packed with fresh, locally caught fish in a delicious white chowder. It was a sight of beauty if you are a seafood lover like myself. I think the delicious, hot, freshly baked rolls contained flecks of the local seaweed which was a purple, maroonish color called dulce and I wouldn't be surprised... More

We were staying in Advocate Harbour for a few days and TA reviews necessitated a visit to the Wild Caraway. We mistakenly did not make a reservation (Saturday night) so we enjoyed a few drinks on the garden patio during our wait. It was a cool night and the hostess provided a nice wool blanket. We were seated at a... More

We decided to head up this way to see this coast line on the way to advocate harbour where I had read a review of the Wild Caraway. The fall colours made the up and down winding road a spectacular adventure. The Restaurant was everything we had heard, spectacular food. The Caesar salad was the best I'd ever eaten, smoked... I dined recently at Wild Caraway in Advocate Harbour. It certainly lived up to its billing as the top rated venue of the area. The freshness of the seafood and its unique preparation was outstanding. I had a grilled halibut steak served on a Spanish style bean and tomato ragout that was as tasty as it was beautiful to the... More

Great menu, nice site, scenic area and great lunch. Restaurant is very open with many windows and some tables with a bit of privacy. My wife enjoyed the fish and chips with haddock loin and fresh cut potato fries and tasty coleslaw. I enjoyed a great seafood pasta with penne, gouda cheese, capers, small shrimp, lots of fish - salmon,... More

This restaurant is worth the trip to get to it. Treat yourself and go. If you are a foodie or just like to eat it is worth the experience. Be sure to make a reservation. The drive from Parrsboro to Advocate Harbour is like a little mini Cabot Trail. En route stop at Spencer's Beach/Island exit to enjoy the shore... More

The Wild Caraway has consistently great food. The restaurant itself has a wonderful feel with local paintings and hooked rugs, etc. The staff are always warm and efficient. It is an all round great experience!!!
