Who could have imagined that such a small town could have such an outstanding restaurant? Fabulous food, served piping hot by a friendly waitress. The kitchen made grilled cheese (not on the menu) for our less adventurous kids, which was much appreciated. Everyone enjoyed the free appetizer, wonderful creamy mushroom soup with a hot and savory bun.

I am so glad that Advocate has this place. I have been here a few years back and so happy to see they are bigger and better than ever. The food is fresh and so very good. The drinks are even made with fresh ingredients. This is one of those farm to table places. I even know someone who sends... More

Had our 10 year anniversary dinner here. The quality of their food almost brought tears to my eyes. It was that good.

This lovely restaurant makes good use of herbs - it's fun to try to guess which ones are in each dish! Plate presentation was pleasing to the eye and the food was delicious. The space in the restaurant is well set up so that there is a mixture of privacy and congeniality. Staff was pleasant. The menu changes frequently and... More

The locally sourced food was incredible. We ate the best meals of our trip at Wild Caraway! The waitresses explained the ingredients and were so friendly. Don't miss this place if you are in Advocate Harbor!

We have been traveling throughout the Maritimes for 5 weeks, sampling many seafood chowders along the way. This is the best ever, loaded with sea scallops, several fishes, shrimp, and seasoned perfectly. It also comes with a delicious roll. This was a lunch visit and we were very full after the chowder, fish and chips, and lobster roll on homemade... More

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Wild Caraway to all and sundry. The the food is wonderful, the hosts are too and the location is great. It is out of the way but the drive there along the Mini Cape Breton trail is picturesque and it is worth going the distance for a terrific meal. I love the... More

Wasn't expecting to find such a nice little restaurant in such a tiny town in a remote spot, but this place is a gem. We had a delicious lunch here while exploring the town and nearby sights. I had a bbq beef sandwich and my husband had a lobster roll. Both were delicious though my husband thought the lobster roll... More

Ate at the Wild Caraway with my wife and daughter for my daughter's 10 birthday. The owners take pride in everything they do. The for is prepared with a lot of attention to detail. The atmosphere is the best. A great view of the harbour. Recommended to all.
