My mother was born in Woody Point on July 15, 2012 and so we had lunch there to celebrate. How good it was to discover the amazing Old Loft Restaurant. We had the fish of the day which was cod. It was cooked perfectly and was as fresh as fresh can be. Be advised that the chairs and benches are... More

Not a fancy restaurant with rough sawn lumber for the interior, but the service and food were great.

On a hot sunny day in July we happened upon this restaurant and it was such a wonderful surprise. We ended up being the only people on the patio that has 180 degree views of Bonne Bay...I don't think we've ever had lunch with such amazing views! And the food was really wonderful...the best fish cakes, toutons, and fish and... More

This was a delightful surprise. The food was well prepared and cheerfully served in a charming setting. Loved the cod au gratin and the seafood chowder. It would have been a good value at twice the price.

Very convenient local harbour restaurant that serves most items anyone would want to eat and drink. Excellent in all respects.

Well cooked fish. Attractive if somewhat spartan room. On balance, a happy surprise.

We have enjoyed numerous meals at this restaurant. It is a fabulous location where we can actually boat to the restaurant and tie up at the wharf in front. The fish cakes (served with a very tasty condiment) are excellent and my personal fovourite within the Gros Morne area. Make sure you try the local drinks, especially the Rhubarb special...memories... More

The Old Loft (not the "Old Lofy" as the heading reads, is a very pleasant little restaurant overlooking the water in the village of Woody Point. The tasty soups are made in-house, the pan fried cod was a treat, fresh and moist, and the desserts were delicious. Fresh ingredients for salads are hard to come by in this rather remote... More

back after an absence of three years, and little has changed about the Old Loft, which is a good thing. The restaurant has been consistently good for 10 years. The food was excellent, pan-fried cod cooked perfectly, as was everything on the fisherman's platter. Service was friendly and efficient, without being intrusive. The dining room has real charm and character,... More

Fun little place. Great local food. The staff were friendly. Nice patio with a good view on the water. Adjacent to the restaurant is a quaint shop with a lot of handcrafted gifty items. We had a fun dinner with teenage kids. Chowder, great pan fried cod and super partridge berry pie.
