Quaint & Casual but Sophisticated Food

Small dining room with set menu - you will have several choices but need to decide ahead of time. Reservations needed. Upstairs has a lovely loft where you can have cocktails & blankets if necessary. Deck overlooking the water if weather permits. Very efficient, friendly service.

Food was fresh, tasty and served by the delightfully friendly and knowledgeable owner of the place. Even my partner who is not a fan of seafood gobbled his salmon in seconds. A must if you're in the area.

The Twine Loft has such a lovely dining room and the service is always very good. However the food tasted like leftovers. Since we were the only folks for early seating in the dining room, I sure the sides for the entrees had been reheated and were not quite warm enough. I had the pork and my husband the salmon.... Hello Carol, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I would first like to apologize that we did not meet your expectations on the evening you ate with us. I would like to guarantee you that whatever the issue was with the meal it was not that we had reheated left overs for you. The... More

Made a reservation here based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. My husband had the lamb and I had the salmon – superb! The wait staff treat you just like family (in a nice way) and are interested in where you are from and what you have been doing in the area. The atmosphere is relaxing and... More

After the Rugged Beauty boat tour we watched the sun slide around to the west on the Artisan Inn dock - the end to a perfect day. We stayed at Harbour House and were able to add an extra day when our server at dinner suggested the Rugged Beauty tour "Bruce is my husband's uncle". The dinner and breakfast were... More

The food was good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were asked to choose our main course in advance - it had been a cool, wet day and the lamb shanks were a perfect choice. Love to see rhubarb on the menu - the tarts were delicious.

A group of friends extended our visit to Newfoundland for a conference to do some exploring. We booked the Lighthouse View House and enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners at Twine Loft both days of our stay. The service was warm and friendly and all our meals were tasty and enjoyable. We did "show up" for breakfast on our last day... More

Small, scenic spot with good food and service. Need to reserve ahead. The owner Tineke is a wealth of information about the area and recommended activities. Would visit again.

The four course fixed price menu is good value. I had salmon and lamb on two separate occasions, both excellent. Salad and dessert were both very tasty, using some local ingredients.

This place is awesome. The service is very friendly and customer-oriented...they'll go out of thier way for you with a smile. The menu is limited but they make up for it with the flavors. The restaurant is so warm and inviting and the views from the window seats are amazing. Loved this place!!! Well worth the drive.
