We stopped at Earl's for a quick lunch on the way further up the peninsula. They were friendly and set up a table for us outside, but the wind was so strong we went back in. I see we should have tried the moose, but since it was supposed to be a quick lunch, we ordered a regular hamburger and... More

We just finished eating at Earle's and really enjoyed it. We were looking for a nice meal of Newfoundland food and Earle's was the ticket. My partner had the moose burger, which he loved. It was moist and well seasoned. I had the hot moose sandwich which was tasty and huge. We washed this down with cold Quidi Vidi beer.... More

This review echoes many of the previous ones. Food is pretty decent at low cost; however service is real slow and you can expect to wait a while after ordering. Nice outdoor patio if the weather is fair. Still among the better places to eat in the area.

Earl’s. Good food but slow service We decided to try this place on our first day after hiking on Spring Garden Trail. It is a nice place and the food is good. Practically every restaurant in the area had some moose items on the menu, but the Eearl’s has biggest choice and we wanted to try it so we went... More

Felt like a local place to eat, friendly service. You can eat outside on the patio which is wonderful if the weather allows

I've been looking for a good moose burger during my time in Newfoundland, and I think I just found the spot when a fellow traveller in the hostel recommended Earle's. I got the chance to visit the place right after the Western Brook Pond Tour and ordered some toutons, and Moose burger. Result? Well, I loved the totuons as much... More

We stopped at Earl's as soon as we arrived in Rocky Harbour. It had been recommended by one of the girls at the Visitors Centre. It's not a fancy place, but the 2 ladies working there are lovely and the food is great. I had a great mooseburger, my husband had a hot moose sandwich which he really enjoyed. the... More

We were advised to try the Jiggs Dinner at Earls and were glad we did. It is local fare and a must do for tourists. We enjoyed the dinner as well as a tasty moose burger. Staff was friendly and the attached bakery has lots of yummy breads and buns.

Earl's Restaurant is unique for several reasons. 1) one of the few places where you can obtain Moose burgers, stew, moose pot pie and more; 2) where you can enjoy both piped in Newfoundland music and wonderful projected scenes of Newfoundland whilst you moose dinner and Quidi Vid beers are consumed; and, 3) where you can purchase, from a wide...
