Good variety, value and huge portions

The menu had items for both a small and medium budget, and while veggies aren't the mainstay of the menu, they had several vegetarian options that weren't salads - a rare find in Newfoundland! You get a lot of food for your money, including some local specialties (e.g. moose).

Good food in a sweet charming town. Have the fish cakes and baked beans with bread and molasses... a tradition.

Very good food and lots of local fare. Loved the fish cakes and was back more than once in our four day stay in the area

We ate there after hiking Gros Morne Mountain, I had a moose meat dinner with homemade turkey and vegetable soup. My wife had strip loin steak, it was just what we both needed, very nutritious and filling and prices were not too bad

We had breakfast there twice. Place was clean, staff very friendly. Had the usual eggs and bacon. Food was good, hot and plentiful. Price was reasonable for a tourist area.

The chowder was very thick and floppy although the portion was large. I had the halibut - a generous portion but overcooked and under seasoned. Our xfriends had the moose burgers and declared them unremarkable and my husband had the moose dinner which was OK. However the friendly waitress made up for a lot of it and we could have... More
