good spot to stop

We had a very friendly waitress and the service was excellent. Homemade soup was great and we tried the cod tongues and they were good(definitely different) and we got to try the moose burger - and they were really good, saw lots of other meals coming out and they all looked great. Very good spot... read more

Hubby has been trying the seafood/fish chowder throughout this vacation, and until he ventured across this restaurant, he had encountered anything from ok to mediocre. The chowder at Fisherman's Landing Restaurant in Rocky Harbour, NL was a nice surprise. Rest of food was good, basic restaurant fare at a good price...but the chowder definitely stands out as a winner.

Had a lunch and a dinner here, as it was close to the Oceanview Motel where we stayed. Food was good and reasonable portions. The French Fries, and their selections of burgers, pizza, and panfred cod were tasty. The wait staff was young, efficient and friendly.

There were about 6 of us eating here and no one really complained much about the food. A couple of us went there for seafood but never bothered because of the prices. I am living in AB for 15 years now and i would expect the prices would at least be a bit less than they are in AB. They... More

A large good value breakfast. Good staff and accommodating. Due to very strong perfume smell from another customer they were very helpful in moving us to another table.

Very nice, clean hotel. And easy to find, very close to Rocky Harbour! The lobster is delicious! We enjoyed our stay.

Someone mentioned tourist trap, I have to agree. Staff, all except for one who was working her butt off, had scowls. They never looked at you so you could get there attention. Took 25 minutes to get our food, fried dishes including frozen mixed veggies and a mass marketed roll. Fish was nothing special. Waitress never returned to ask us... More

After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous about stopping here for lunch. There were 6 of us meeting up and this was an easy place to find. My first thought when i sat down and looked at the menu was that the prices were pretty average. I'm not sure why people say it's overpriced. The seafood... More

We ate here two mornings in a row and had good basic breakfasts. They offer a number of usual breakfast options including an early bird special before 8:30 am for $7.99 which includes 1 egg, hash browns, a slice of toast (choice of white, whole wheat, or multi-grain - unusual in the northern peninsula), coffee and 3 slices of bacon....
