Great food!

this little diner was crowded and had absolutely no atmosphere, but the service was great and so was the food. Our waitress was friendly, offered tips on the menu & was prompt with the service.

I take my ladies to Carmen's diner everyday for a nice morning after breakfast, they serve the best french toast this side of the Saint Croix.

Food was just ok, decor was old fashioned, had an unclean feel. Just didn't do anything for me and my family. Will not return.

I was recently passing through St. Stephen and decided to try Carman's for lunch. I am so glad I did! The diner has a 1950's feel to it. The diner was full, so I sat at the counter on a stool. The food was reasonably priced and was delicious! The service was very personable, I would definitely return. Please take... More

The diner is charming, in a mildly ramshakle way. Their deep fried scallops are good when the don't overcook them, which has been a third of the time in my case. Skip the scallops prepared any other way--overcooked every time. Also skip the clam chowder, as it's watery, bland, and fishy. Overall the food is below average, and a little... More

Stayed nearby so we walked to Carman's and were so glad we did not go any further. It is a Diner and with it comes the atmosphere and the local clientele and the pleasant little waitress and the enormous portions. I risked having the fried clams and was barely able to get through them all - delicious. My partner had... More

I thought the food was great. We went for breakfast. The bacon was a little too crispy for me, but the blueberry pancake was great - not too heavy and the right amount of blueberries. The scrambled eggs were not too dry. The toast was toasted and not petrified like some places. The waitress was very attentive to our needs.... More

This restaurant was suggested to us as we wanted a place that had lobster rolls. Cute place with juke boxes at the table for 25 cents a play. Unfortunately they were out of lobster (6pm) already! I had the steak special and my wife had the fish. Both were mediocre in quality but sufficient helpings. Guess you have to get... More
