We stopped in on a recommendation from the staff at our hotel, which was a couple of blocks down the street. A family run diner for 60 years, and the decor was 1950's period. I felt like the newest car in the parking lot should have been a fifties sedan. I love places like this...original, not faked up. I ordered... More

I have been going to Carmen's Diner for many years and not once have I left disappointed! Courteous service and awesome food! Not many times have I had room for the dessert!

Very good spot for dinner. Was very busy when we got there but was served fast and didn't take too long for dinner. The fish burger was my second favorite out of all the fish burgers (which was a lot) on my vacation. The freshly made raisin pie was delicious.

We arrived late but were served well and with good food. They have a new senior menu which was terrific. We liked it all.

Stopped there for lunch on the way back from PEI - easy location off highway. The waitress was friendly - the food (turkey sandwich) was definitely homemade and the milk shake was soothing. Someone in our party had a hot dog and they said they were not impressed but the homemade stuff all looked good. The prices were good -... More

Both AAA and Trip Advisor reviewers indicated the food here would be excellent. It was bland, flavorless. I even had to put salt and pepper in the clam chowder. If you're looking for lots of food for the money, this is your place. If you're looking for tasty, keep driving.

This is a very small restaurant with really nice waitresses. I eat here for a meal every time I visit St. Stephen. The food is good. They have great home made desserts! My favorite is the roast turkey meal.

We stopped here for lunch to soak in some local flavor. It was OK-nothing fancy or elaborate, but plain food. The fish chowder seemed a little watery, but maybe that's how they cook it in St Stephen; the fried fish was hot and good. It was mostly local people here, and they all seemed happy, so it's clear it's a... More

Had a small fish and chip, really good. Friend had the western sandwich and liked it also. We were talked into a really good piece of blueberry pie.

Stopped in St. Stephen for the night on our way to Nova Scotia and had a great homemade dinner at this cute, family-owned 60's era diner complete with vinyl booths and juke boxes at the tables. The place was packed with locals even on a Tuesday night and the staff was friendly as can be. We found the water bowl... More
