A great stop for a variety of food

We've never had a bad meal at Carman's Diner and always received a welcome and a good meal whether we want just a snack or full meal. In our travels we had had a large lunch and we just wanting a sandwich. I had a BLT and my wife had an Eastern sandwich. It hit the spot and we'll do... read more

We first ate at Carmen's last year and were impressed with the general quality of the food. I believe it was 3 1/2-4 stars then. Unfortunately, the quality has slipped a bit and I would only give it 3 stars after this visit. The beef barley soup was OK but nothing special. Our hot sandwiches (beef and turkey) were equally... Yum, we just went for burgers and fries. My son ordered the double cheese burger and the look of joy on his face when he saw it was worth the money haha. He could barely eat it. The burgers were good as well as the fries and coleslaw. Fast friendly service and a nice atmosphere....very casual.

I happened upon this restaurant by accident and decided to stop because it was a diner and had gorgeous flowers all around the outside. What a great idea it turned out to be. The clam chowder and the turkey soup were delicious and homemade. The lemon meringue pie was also a hit. Not too sweet and piled high with meringue.... More

Discovered this on the way to the Chocolate Museum. Wonderful service and delicious food. Conveniently located on the road into town. Bacon and eggs done to perfection.

Recommended by the hotel (double checked here). Dinner was burgers & fries. We were going to try the poutine, but they'd run out of the right cheese. Regular fries it was. Quite good and very reasonable. Table top jukeboxes wired into the system, so you can put your quarter in and get your song played. We liked it well enough... More

Like stepping back in time - a diner with jukeboxes on every table! Food was very tasty ... Enjoyed a hot turkey sandwich ... Mmmm

A quick stop on the road, lots of parking. Good prices and great food. If you want a small and simple meal ask for the Senior's Menu. Good service and food was hot.

Reasonable. You get what you pay for. Trried to order Turkey..they ran out. There are like 6 tems on the menu that contain turkey. Also out of Lobster meat. Really? It is a limited menu to begin with.. so I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon.. she brings it out to the table and asks. ME..was this supposed to have... More

Nice diner. Jute box at the diner table - a bit nostalgic. Good diner food. Premises are clean and staff friendly. Great family restaurant. I would definitely recommend making a stop if you're in the area.
