Nice Surprise

We have driven by this restaurant many, many times and really never even noticed it. Tonight, though, we were looking to eat dinner and saw all the cars parked and thought it must be good. We were pleased to see an open booth with an old school table top juke box. very cool. A waitress arrived... read more

Simple food with a great taste. Easily accessible from the B&B. A casual-dress diner and a favorite of the locals.

This is what you expect in small town NB. I ordered the turkey dinner. Two large scoops of potatoes, lots of dark and white meat, more stuffing than I could eat, all drizzled with gravy. The iceberg lettuce side salad and frozen veggies tasted like what my mom used to make growing up. Not fancy, not private, but what I... More

This diner is an institution in our town and has a loyal clientel who frequent the eating spot. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is consistent . The fish chowder is made to order and they have gluten free options on the menu. Great place to eat!

We ate one meal here in September - wonderful staff, delicious food, if you like seafood try the seafood chowder - very filling and made to order. It is a throwback to the 50s with a mini jukebox at your table. We arrived after 7pm due to the time change between Maine and New Brunswick. Even though closing time is... More

We enjoy going to Carmen's for breakfast, good coffee, enjoy their scramble eggs and ham. They also have big breakfasts with pancakes and home fries. Greats chowders and turkey dinner.

On the way through had a bite in there. Great atmosphere, food was decent and a nice change from the fast food restaurants. Would eat at again if I was paying through

Recommended to us by the hotel. We do not like chain fast food so went here being told that everything was home cooking. It may have been however it tasted like frozen foods warmed up. Not impressed but not a lot to chose from in this town.

We stopped in on a recommendation from the staff at our hotel, which was a couple of blocks down the street. A family run diner for 60 years, and the decor was 1950's period. I felt like the newest car in the parking lot should have been a fifties sedan. I love places like this...original, not faked up. I ordered... More
