Found this great restaurant in Alma, NB after visiting Hope Well Rocks. Had the most amazing seafood chowder I have had in my entire life, so much so, we took some to go! Our waitress was very good at her craft, we enjoyed talking with her and finding out the truth behind poutine potatoes!

This was my favourite restaurant in Alma. I went more then once and every time the staff was so friendly and chatty. The food was amazing and the seafood was the best part! I recommend this restaurant to anyone :)

We ate here several times. We found the service of the waitstaff excellent and the food prepared excellently. Owner was also there and cooking on one of the days we ate lunch here.

We stopped here after visiting the rocks. It was quite late in the evening and we were afraid that everything would be closed but this gem of a place was still open. They close at 9 pm which we have found to be quite unusual in the maritimes. The service was quick, the meals were all delicious. By far the... More

We had lunch at Alma Boathouse before driving to the Fundy National Park. The town is small, but offers several places to eat. The Boathouse was close to the wharf where we had fun photographing and talking to the scallop fishermen who were cleaning up their boats on the muddy harbor as the tide was out. For lunch I had... We stopped here for lunch. The restaurant had some customers, but business was slow. Service was fine. The seafood chowder was excellent. It had a good lobster flavor, with lobster, scallop, and haddock chunks. Along with 2 pieces of bread with lobster crostini, it was a good meal and not overly rich.

Alma is the gateway town of Fundy National Park, with quite a few options for dining. My wife and I chose the Alma Boathouse as our lunch spot before heading into the park on a beautiful fall Sunday. As cost concious travellers we decided to share the $19.95 lunch special of the Lobster Roll and Seafood Chowder with coffee. Service... More

We ate lunch & dinner here & both times had fast, friend service & good food. We had salmon, a fish sandwich, a pulled pork bbq sandwich, a cheeseburger & the rum raisin bread pudding. Everything was fresh & served quickly. Our waitress was very friendly too.

Went in for lunch - not busy, there was 1 table dining, 2 tables waiting for their food and a single diner being seated at the same time as us. Ordered our food, one table got their food in about 5 minutes, the second in another 10 minutes, the single diner shortly thereafter. After 25 minutes, our waitress informed us... More

We stopped for lunch (the Boathouse and the Tides seem to be in competition for the best chowder). The chowder was very good and the service was friendly.
