excellent fish and chips

We had lunch there with a tour group from Atlantic Tours and we enjoyed our lunch very much. I had the fish and chips made with haddock and it was excellent. It was cooked just right with a light tasty batter. The fries were also good. My wife had a spinnich salad and said it was very good.

We ate here while staying in Alma and found it quite good. It's on the pricey side and the restaurant is fairly nice though I might have thought the prices warranted tablecloths The food was good. My husband and I both had a lobster special with scallops and shrimp and it was very nice. Our daughter had the salmon and... More

We stayed here overnight and therefore ate here also. We were given a table by the window and throughout our meal we were entertained by the humming birds feeding on the other side of the window - a priceless experience for us. Our meal did not disappoint either. For starters we shared a plate of crabcakes (but served on 2... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch sitting on the outer deck of this fine restaurant. We had wonderful clam chowder and full belly fried clams. We also tried a BLT sandwich. Everything was very delicious and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing lunch on their outside deck.

We decided to try a new restaurant while visiting Alma. Tides is situated right on the waterfront of Alma and has a beautiful view. We were a party of 6, but had a quick wait time and a great waitress. All the food was good , even though it is a seafood restaurant. Try their poutine-just delicious! Will return !

Alma does not seem to be blessed with many good restaurants, but Tides was a pleasant exception, as TA reviews suggested. Crab cakes were all crab, no filler and 2 huge ones at that, with a small salad and 3 different sauces/dips. Chowder was excellent and a bowl is a big portion! For mains we chose the seafood pie (scallops,... More

I had the lobster meal. It was yummy. My husband had fried chicken and it was good. My brother had a seafood pasta dish and it was really good. My sister had the ribs and she said they were dry. Unlimited bread was warm and fresh. Right on the waterfront. Great place.

Guests of the hotel are given a preference of a window seat whenever possible and I never tire of watching the tides come in and recede. We ate several meals in the Tides restaurant. Breakfast was always good, fast and friendly. For dinner, I can heartily recommend the Spring Rolls, the Scallop Blueberry salad, or the blueberry salad without the... More

As we are staying in Point Wolfe Camping grounds, we stopped in Alma for dinner. We chose Tides Restaurant as it seemed inviting and basically all tables had a great view of the harbor. The food was good, but nothing fancy and we felt more in a school cafeteria setting than in a nice restaurant. The staff was really great,... More
