Beautiful view

There was water advisory in Alma when we were there. However, the restaurant was open and we had nice meals there. The dining room is spacious and has a beautiful view. Service was OK.

When the freshest seafood in the world is available to a chef, I expect more than the standard fare. I want some imaginative offerings on the menu, not what's on offer everywhere else. This was not a bad meal and it does feature the ocean's bounty, but it's all a bit ordinary; easy to prepare and get on the table... More

We had lunch at the Tides Restaurant, overlooking the “empty” Bay. Boats in a nearby dock were high and dry. The restaurant staff did an amazing job of serving 24 of us at once. Food was OK. Tide was out. Jury wasn't.

It doesn't look like a large place from the front, but once inside it backs on to the bay and is quite specious .The decor is quite plain and the menu limited. I had the seafood chowder, and as they said on the billboard outside, that it the best around (maybe in the world?), I agree it was good. The special... More

We live close to Alma and anytime we have a special occasion that calls for eating out we choose to go to Tides Restaurant. The atmosphere and view is the best in Alma and the food is second to none. There are many choices on the menu, something to please everyone!!

At the recommendation of my lodging host, I went to Alma for breakfast. While he highly recommended Tides Restaurant, I couldn't get anyone to even acknowledge my arrival. After 10 minutes, I left. I don't know if they were open or not, although there were hotel guests having breakfast in a private area of the dining room. I'm not sure... More

We loved our time in coastal New Brunswick but I cannot say that the dining was among the highlights. This place was an exception. We had a nice meal with very attentive, personable and friendly service and wonderful view over the darkening harbor. I had an abundant seafood platter with haddock, scallops and shrimp - all very fresh and lightly... More

Breathtaking view, friendly service, and the best lobster dinner I had in the Maritimes. The blueberry salad is a must try.
