The prime rib was awesome, large portion, and very well done. Our friends, ordered well done, ours was medium, and everyone was happy with their order

My friend and I went to this restaurant on August 15th for dinner before we were to attend two plays at the A-Spire Theatre. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the price for the meal was very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pat P

Went here for on a Sunday evening, it wasn't busy but food took a long time. Portions are small, In comparison to most Gimli restaurants. The taste was average, I had the spaghetti, the rest of the party had the bacon cheese burgers, skimpy on the bacon. There was nothing stellar about this place, decor dated.

My kids and grand kids enjoyed the meal we had here. At first, I feared the two young grandchildren (1 and 2) might be too tired (thus too fussy) for us to enjoy our meal but, thankfully, they proved us wrong. We had some of the best pizza we've ever enjoyed in a restaurant and will definitely be back for... More

We went to Whitecaps after it was recommended by a competitor who sometimes frequents this place for a change of scenery. What a great deal! We both ordered the cheese omelette special; no problem with our requests for mushroom and tomatoes to be added to the mix. The restaurant was quiet and we had an interesting chat with our host... We stopped in for dinner at Whitecaps early this summer and again at the end of September. This time with family. It was just as great this time as it was the first time. Sure the place could use a little sprucing up but if great Prime Rib is what you are after you will not be disappointed. The service... More

What a nice surprise! Our server was the family patriarch who worked for his son and daughter-in-law. He spent time with us and was the bearer of tasty food at great prices. The restaurant is spacious, old style, comfortable for couples or families. Closed by 8 pm but open early. Very good menu, European flavour.

In the last 2 years they have solved their staffing issues as every restaurant in Gimli can attest to that it is tough to get reliable staff---service is fast friendly and courteous-orders are prepared from fresh ingredients and comes to the table promptly--actually amazingly fast--the chicken or prime rib specials are fantastic. I highly recommend the soup--you get a real... More

They seem ill equipped to handle large crowds and with Gimli being a tourist town large crowds are often the norm.
