My wife and I, along with another couple had a terrible supper at the Mask. Three of us ordered the bison (medium rare) dish. The bison on my wife's plate was full of grizzle and a thick strip of fat on one side. Not only that but it was overdone to the consistency of a hockey puck. Totally, inedible. Price... More

We ate lunch there today. I had a BLT with cheese and my wife had the daily special, a mushroom burger. She said her burger was "majestic" and told the staff that. My BLT was excellent, overflowing with bacon, great texture and tasted awesome. Although I could have seasoned the BLT or fries there was no need because the freshness... More

Went to this out of the restaurant in Gimli ,Manitoba have to say it was one of the best meals I have eaten anywhere in the world ..without a doubt. Cannot say much about the atmosphere as our hosts had dressed the table and paid a musician as well to create our own atmosphere ..but what a gem this place... More

We came back for our anniversary and as usual we choose the fine dinning area to celebrate. We were happy to see a new face, the girl that served was very polite, efficient, and prepared. Food was excellent as usual, and the service improved compared to last summer. Very well done Mask. We will come back for your New Year's... More

I'm from Gimli and we love the mask restaurant , it is Not a fast food joint ! When you make everything from scratch it takes a little longer to get it to you , but it is worth the wait ! We go there for lunch a lot and we're never late getting back to work . People who... More

Have your choice fine dining or casual and the menu is different for each. We chose casual. Service was lousy and so was the food. Had to wait longer than we should have. I don't even remember what I ordered it was so lousy. I know my wife had a salad and it was sad.

I went with a group to Mask for breakfast and for lunch last week. And I am surprised this restaurant is fairly busy. The staff moves at a snails pace and it just seems they don't want to be there. We tried the breakfast; all four of us ordered omelets. It took a good half an hour to receive them... More

For us that was our first time ever in Gimli, we heard about the Icelandic festival so we decided to see what was going on... We had a great time. We all came from Toronto and we asked were we should go for dinner to a local store in town and the lady recommended this little place called Mask. She... More

I have no idea why this is the #1 restaurant in Gimli. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's just your typical small town restaurant. When you walk in, they ask you if you want casual or fine dining. We asked what the difference was and the host gave us two menus. The prices were similar. I don't know why... More
