My sister and I finally gave this restaurant a shot. We'd always thought it was a little posh and probably out of our price range, but we were wrong. It's a lovely little bistro with great food, a terrific atmosphere and reasonable prices. The menu is not huge, but what they do have is eclectic, delicious and varied. They also... More

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant meal here last week. The ambiance is a little on the odd side, with strange paintings from various movies, but otherwise it was lovely. I imagine the fire in the center of the room would be a delight in winter. The service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated that they took the... More

Dutch chef Marcus, presents an exciting menue. The bitterballen is of course typically dutch. But duck breast and lamb is more French. A Spanish wine. This is above expectation. Loved it.

Martine's was busy when we arrived; as a result of heavy rain the patio was closed, and the small restaurant was packed. Having a reservation though, we were seated quickly and the servers were friendly and attentive. The menu was fairly brief, but contained several dishes we liked the look of. Similarly, on the wine list there were several bottles... More

Food was excellent, service great, even though it was super busy when we were there. Creme Brulee to die for.

My friends took me to Martine's for my 60th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. I've lived in the Comox Valley for 33 years and been to many restaurants in the area. Martine's is by far my favorite. Our server was warm and friendly and her attention to detail was awesome. My friend has food allergies and the chef actually... More

This restaurant came highly recommended. Sorry but we cannot do the same. Upon arrival we noticed that the wait staff seemed to be always in a great rush. Our waiter did not have time to discuss the wine list or the menu. Our appetizer came promptly and was quite good but things went down hill after that. We waited about... More

The food and presentation at Martine's is always top notch. I had the goat cheese-stuffed chicken breast with garlic mashed potatoes and the freshest, cooked to perfection vegetables. My husband chose the seafood fettuccine which was also excellent. We were able to enjoy the outdoor patio. The restaurant was bustling so service was a little slow for that first drink... More

We have lived in the Comox Valley for five years. Martine's is where we always take visiting relatives & friends. The rack of lamb is to die for! Always! My parents were in town Sunday. Of course they had to go to Martine's. It was packed. Seems the secret of the Valley is out but mgmt. hasn't adjusted yet. Only... More

Good Lord, the food is never a disappointment. It has such a nice feel and ambience, love the outdoor deck. And the fact it that it is so close to the water and you can walk off your meal after dinner if you so choose! The service is always good and the servers are excellent at knowing the wine list,...
