Good food, Good service

Great menu with a Germanic influence....3 choices of schnitzel :-) The quality of the food was exceptional with large serves that will satisfy every appetite. The ambiance is pleasant and the service was fast. They even customised one of the deserts for us.

We got there just before the dinner rush - which turned out to be very busy for a mid-week night. Good family restaurant with a great selection of items including a kids menu. We particularly enjoyed the "carafe of white" which the waiter brought for our 3 year old - haven't had milk brought to us that way before. :-)... More

We stopped in here for a light dinner after arriving late one evening. Great menu with a nice variety of items. Loved seeing the German influence - always a good sign for me. ;) The portions were HUGE from what saw coming out of the kitchen. The service was exceptional - very friendly. They noticed we were "new in town"... More

We've been out dinner every night at Sunpeaks since arriving 4 days ago. Pickings are not as slim as you would think in this little village and this is the pick for all of meal quality, price and especially service. Our waitress was outstanding, world class - efficient and savvy, not afraid to make a suggestion. Salmon seemed to be... More

At the base of Fireside Lodge, this is a delightful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Tried the Hunter Schnitzel and the Chicken Caesar. Both made to perfection, the chicken tender and delicate, and the Caesar crisp and plentiful. Hunter Schnitzel was half covered in a generous fresh & thick mushroom sauce, absolutely fabulous. Clearly a signature dish. Great service, very... More

Powder Hounds was very popular, perhaps accounting for extremely slow service, but most in our group were quite happy with the food. My schnitzel was a little dry, but gigantic. They could have made it about half the size and sold me a dessert!Décor is the usual ski resort rustic, with a unique latticed ceiling of interesting sticks. There was... More

Had expensive (CAD 29.-) and horrible Seafood Linguini. They were dripping from cream (cream on seafood linguini, really?) and cheeae (cheese on seafood linguini, really?). Service was good.

I looked over the regular favourites on the menu, and decided on trying a kartoffelauflauf, which I didn't regret. We had a great server, and loved the cozy atmosphere. A nice evening all round.

Good warm comfort food after a busy day skiing. During a recent week-long January ski trip we ate here twice. Beef Stroganoff and a nice Riesling night one and the Grilled Sirloin stacks with Merlot the second night. Very satisfying and hearty. Both nights desert was the Chocolate Celebration - highly recommended for chocoholics. The atmosphere is always buzzing with... More
