Trackside Catina is a pleasant place for Mexican style food and drinks. Reasonable portions for the price and the service is friendly. And most important, the food is good, The place is not large and the downside is the noise, as the margaritas are done in the same area close to the patrons. Otherwise enjoy.

This is an unexpected but very good Mexican restaurant in Smithers. It is in the actual train station and you may see trains going by when you are eating, especially in the outside seating. The food is not traditional or authentic Mexican food but it is in the style and very good. Contrary to a number of the reviews, we... More

Went here for the first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. The restaurant staff really seems to all work together and help each other out. Our dinner was served quickly even on a busy night, with no reservation. Our meals (and margaritas) were delicious. All the suggestions made by our server made it even... More

The margaritas are the best thing about this place. The appy tacos are a rip off tho. The appy tacos are just a shell with tiny amount of chicken no cheese and a small portion of salsa. The main course taste good but a little plain and smaller than you expect. They like to fill your plate with yams. Found... More

Nice open view of the mountains next to the tracks. It was a beautiful day and would have enjoyed eating outside but the patio has limited seating. Friendly serves in funky uniforms. Serving size is adequate, food could have been served hotter.

The atmosphere is very authentic and the service is awesome! The ladies here are friendly, talkative and down to earth. I highly recommend the blended lime margaritas, they put you on the beaches of Mexico. Ive eaten here a few times during my stays in Smithers and the food and service never disappoint me. This is a true gem.

Slipped up to Smithers on an overnight trip and was excited to try some Mexican food out. The inside looked neat, kind of touristy, but I chose the patio since it was such a nice evening. I had a taco bowl featuring pineapple and chicken with some rice and refried beans. It was done well, with a few touches to... More

We had a great dinner at Fiesta Mexicana! After a disappointing experience at another local restaurant I was unsure about taking a chance on a recommendation. No regrets here! The atmosphere of this place is very friendly and everything, down to the bar and floors, looks straight out of Mexico. When we walked in we were greeted by the servers... More

Good soup, great quesadillas, and excellent enchiladas. Very fresh tasting. Not real spicy. Could be more spicy for us, but lots of delicious and interesting favors. Reasonable cost for BC. (Lunch for two was about $30.) Excellent service. Reasonable wait time for freshly cooked food, Saturday at 1:30. (About 15 minutes) Open 11-3 for lunch; reopens at 5:00 for dinner.
