It was ok

My wife and I stopped by for lunch and were seated quickly. The restaurant wasn't to busy. My wife had the chicken breast sandwich and she enjoyed it. I had a pasta dish with meatballs. Onip1969, thank you so much for leaving a review. We take these reviews to heart and are constantly trying to improve our restaurant. Having an appetizer come out after you get your main dish is a frustration a customer should never have to deal with; I apologize. We invite you to come back and enjoy all that The Old Boot... More

The Baristas at the local Starbucks ranted and raved about this place. We were seated quickly. There was grass roots live music playing which was nice. I gotta give this an average score because despite the ambiance I wasn't wowed by the food or the service. Our waitress was very good... But the wait time for food was long. We... More

LAVA1980, thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere. As far as the wait for you food; if we are busy, meals do take time. We have a 5 burner stove and our fresh meals take time to prepare properly and each of our meals are cooked to order. Adding more meat to... More

Moving across the street to the new digs took some of the charm and intimacy out of eating at the Boot. The booths are a bit small and the tables provide for little or no privacy. Draft beer is limited to one choice from overseas while two excellent craft breweries located on the Sunshine Coast are overlooked. A nice touch... More

John D., we wanted to let you know that we appreciate constructive reviews here at The Old Boot Eatery as they help us to improve. We wanted to apologize about the wait for your drink order; immediate beverage service is very important. As for our draft options; we have a very tight bar area and only allows room for one... My first time in sechelt and was recommended by a friend to try this place. It was amazing. We had the half pasta half salad combo and the meatball sandwich. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh. Definitely coming back here!

While visiting Sechelt for a week. We stopped for a lunch and a dinner here! Both experiences were wonderful. We had two different waitress and both were so warm, welcoming, and very kind, these girls really make this the place you want to go. We tried 2 of their pasta dishes. Both were amazing, you can tell they use fresh... More

Expectations are high. Pricing would indicate a better plate. By the time you spend $100,. for ordinary food and so-so wine, you'd be better off elsewhere. Little value here with nothing to excite.

We gave up on the place after the last visit. We waited so long for the dinner meal that we paid for our beverage and left. Then walked a few steps to Sushi 5517 and had great evening meal.

We ate here for lunch on our way through town. The food was good and the service by our waitress was great. Prices were good and we were overall happy with the meal. The reason for the average rating was the 50 minute wait for our sandwiches. When we ordered there was only two other couples in the restaurant and... More

Great pasta, and accommodated allergies. Large portions. A little disappointed that the "seafood" offered included exclusively shellfish... no halibut/salmon? Surprising for this seaside community. But overall a nice meal and charming ambiance.
