Good Value...good place for lunch

It's sure not fancy and the carpet could use a good cleaning (better yet, remove it) but, it has a comfortable atmosphere, especially at lunch time when the place is frequented mostly by regulars, many of whom are seniors. The food is typical pub fare, lots of it and at a great price. And, they do... read more

We stopped in for a dinner and started off with hot chicken wings as an appetizer. The wings were what they call lightly dusted with flour....WHY would someone bread wings? YIKES! The hot sauce saturated the wings which consisted of 2 drums and 6 flats for $10.95 so it was really messy. My wife had the baby rib special and... More

This pub is pretty old and a bit run down. Just the way I like it. Caters to frugal locals mostly as they could tell instantly I was not from around there. Beer is cheap and cold if that is what you are looking for.

So first i want to just say that i've been to some restaurants and had pretty crappy service, but what i experience here was just terrible. We sat outside & had a group full of older men, chain smoking & i couldn't even breath & they were drinking also. So it took her about 20 mins to finally come to... More

Went with a large group (we were expected). Only 2 servers and apparently 1 cook. The place had a rather unpleasant smell. My husband and I ordered "salmon" burgers. Being a coastal town, we expected salmon, but what was served was a revolting patty of quite mysterious ingredients. Because we took pity on the poor server, we did not have... More

Gilligan's Pub may not have the fancy ocean view, it is older and could use some updating, but its clean and serves good pub type food. Gilligan's does seem to cater to the locals rather than tourists. Their prices are less expensive than other local pubs but the staff are great, very friendly and provide quick service whenever we've been... More

The host of our B&B mentioned several restaurants in Sechelt, but endth hed with "If you don't mind a bit of character, try Gilligan's Pub downtown. Great food and reasonably priced." So, after spending most of the afternoon on the nearby beach, my wife and I decided to give Gilligan's a try, and weren't disappointed. You walk in, and I... More

We dropped in here due to being hungry and hearing good things. Server was friendly. Dessert was gratis due to it being St. Patrick's Day. Food was less than average and pricey for a pub. Probably two dollars or more higher than than it should have been. Strange acoustics in the place. You can hear every conversation everywhere in the... More

We recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and have decided to try all the local pubs, as we enjoy pub settings and food. Gilligan's Pub will not be getting a second visit from us. When we walked in, we were immediately taken aback by the atmosphere (so to speak) and decor -- formica laminate, anyone. Also, this is the place... More
