Fantastic

Dinner was fantastic. I had Black Cod which is a favourite of mine. It was melt in your mouth...exceptional. Tuna Tataki was a very nice appetizer and the Potato Kale Soup was creamy and just the right flavours. Others at the table had rack of lamb which was highly rated and the desserts were... read more

It was my 70th birthday, so my friends took me here for the celebration. To me, it was a very disappointing experience. It took approximately 15 minutes to adjust, and try to forget the foul smell that permeated the entire restaurant, (not only the smell of the seafood being prepared, but the stale smell of a room in desperate need... This restaurant was recommended to us as one of the best restaurants in the area. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The food was not well cooked- fish overdone and under seasoned, The presentation of the food was stuck in the '80's as was the restaurant's decor. We went for dinner as the sun was going down and unfortunately it was... More

All courses were great (artichoke starter, parsnip soup, halibut main)! The service was very personal and pleasant and there was a wonderful upbeat yet peaceful atmosphere here. I will definitely go back again!

Loved the setting.. very cute restaurant. The food was very good and lots of choices to pick from as well at least three Chef Specials.. The owner was so friendly and she served us herself . My only regret is not having the Halibut on the menu as I heard from other diners it was amazing!

Fabulous food that lives up to reviews although it was slow in coming. Next time I won't bother ordering applies as the entrees are so large I couldn't finish my seafood trio. The mushroom soup that comes with it is a huge bowl as well. Bread basket was stingy but everything else was generous including my husbands complimentary birthday port.... More

Gail seated us in a cozy alcove at a table for two with nice linens, candlelight and flowers. My husband and I (yes, queen for a night!) started with nice light raspberry cocktails to whet our appetites. We ordered the specials because they sounded so delicious and we had been dreaming of a seafood feast ever since arriving for a... More

Thank you to the amazing people at Blue Heron Inn for making our anniversary such a special experience. The seafood is among the best I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

Friday Oct. 31st - Halloween night - we went to the Blue Heron Inn to book a table for the next evening (Saturday) - to celebrate our 30 Anniversary - but unfortunately they were closed Saturday as they had a catering to do for 250 people - so we were disappointed - however when the owners Gail and Manuel Medeiros... Our party of 4 had dinner at Blue Heron Inn after reading all the great reviews, and we were not disappointed. Gail, the proprietor, greeted us and took care of us in a very friendly and familiar manner. Her husband, who is from Portugal, was in the kitchen, as he is in charge of the food preparation. The dining room... More
