We eat here at least monthly and are pleased with the wide variety of meals. Whether you want a sandwich with soup for lunch, or a delicious dinner, we are rarely disappointed.

This restaurant is on the main road coming into Port McNeil. The decor is kinda retro so not a great atmosphere but the menu had lots to offer. The daily specials featured lots of seafood and the entrees were a good portion. The service was good and friendly.

We live in Los Angeles and were up exploring the area. We didn't know what to expect but we won't forget Northern Lights. Though a little on the pricey side we thought at first, we soon took into consideration how much was put into the preparation of the food in such a remote location. I had the seafood pasta (delicious)... More

A great seafood restaurant in a small town. Stick to locally caught seafood, such as halibut & salmon, if you're a stickler for freshness. The Seafood Neptune, if on special when you're there, is fantastic.

To be honest Port McNeill is some way from anywhere and my wife and I were not expecting much above the basic when it came to restaurants. Northern Lights surprised us by being very much above basic. It was an unpretentious little place, tables and booths with no tablecloths, just formica tops, but the staff were friendly and efficient and... More

Great choice of food and very friendly staff. Ate in both the restaurant and bar great atmosphere in the bar and you get to choose from either menu.

We ate here 4 times, once in the restaurant and the other three times in the bar. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Tried a variety of things on the menu and all were very tasty. Chay was our waitress and she was very friendly and attentive. Julian & Mandy Keswick, England.

The staff are very enthusiastic and friendly, the chef very committed and the menu ambitious...but this place disappoints regularly. Some of the dishes are pulled off in exceptional form and mostly on weekends, but this is a rarity. Weekend chefs are usually better and this is a trend notable in most restaurants independent of location. Here however...may luck be on... More

Ate here twice at beginning and end of a sea kayaking trip. Food was just about OK in the first visit and very good on the second, I got the impression that it rather depended on the chef that was on duty. Having looked around town this seems the best place to eat as there is pretty limited choice. Prices... More

The food and service are mediocre and it is way overpriced for what it is. The next night we decided to eat at subway instead. Don't waste your money.
