Tasty!

It seems I'm always craving Mexican food, so was excited to find the Old Crow Cafe! I had the avocado enchiladas with mole and verde sauces, and thought they tasted pretty good. Some spiciness was needed, however (I should've ordered the picante sauce). I believe the tortilla chips and salsa were... read more

The green salad on its own was delish but the addition of the fish was *off the hook*! I have eaten fish tacos on the west coast but I needed some serious greens this time; thanks to Old Crow's satisfying menu, I got what I needed. I will return for more!!

I came to Gabriola Island in January (2015) and always kept forgetting how bad The Old Crow was until I was reminded again after biting into another tasteless burrito. Maybe I'm spoiled because I'm originally from Arizona and the state is known for having pretty authentic Mexican food plus I travel down to Rocky Point about once a year. But... More

I am not sure how to even approach your review. It is from 5 months ago. I actually feel for you, since waiting this long to write a review must mean that the whole experience of the Crow was very hard for you. I am glad you finally processed your experience and were able to let it out and hopefully... More

I go at least once a week for bbq pork tacos and breakfast burritos. Service is warm, food is Addictively good, and the mango habanero hot sauce is amazing! They also have a mean huevos rancheros, and nice local choice of draft beer. Number 1 go-to spot on the island!

Wow two locals recommended this odd place. ++ difficulty getting served, then not worth the wait. One in our party had very old smelling guacamole, whilst I did not enjoy soggy soggy taco s apparently made iof white paste. Unfriendly, unhelpful owner seems to want to be elsewhere. Me too.

I love Mexican flavors and Old Crow delivers. The portions are large and the selection of food is terrific. I have never been disappointed. It is fresh and tasty no matter what you chose. The taco triplets are fantastic but so is everything!

Great service and a great deal on tacos! We had the chicken tacos which were served on corn tortillas with caramellized onions and a little salsa. The coffee is very good too. This little place is well worth visiting if you find yourself on Gabriola Island.

It's like "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. This restaurant specializes in fresh Mexican food with a twist. Prices are good, and they are licensed. The coffee is amazing, featuring the locally-roasted Red Rooster coffee. I love the Americano. The Cafe is located in the Village Centre on Gabriola Island, and is well worth a visit for coffee or meal.... More

The Old Crow is a good spot for lunch or dinner, with a beer or a glass of wine. Good food, not overly expensive. It's an easy place to be. You don't have to dress up. The atmosphere is friendly an informal. Kid friendly.

We were looking forward to a nice Sunday breakfast out and we tried The Old Crow Cafe, as we had been there once before, a couple of years ago when it was wonderful. We ordered the scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were dry and tasteless, the bacon skimpy and overcooked, and the potatoes average at best. No orange juice... More
