Had lunch there this month and it was wonderful. $10 homemade soup and sandwich special was unreal! The service was great and I look forward to going for dinner next time.

We debated about where to go for a special birthday celebration dinner and we're so glad we chose this restaurant. My sister has celiac disease and was thrilled to discover they make gluten free pizza. She raved about this pizza for days afterward. My husband and a friend ordered burgers and both thought they were exceptional. I had a pasta... More

I ordered a pizza for takeout on the weekend. The pizza was very good taste wise but was overpriced for a small pizza. Things also seemed a bit disorganized. Would order a pizza again but because of the price would not be able to do it on a regular basis.

"Amazing, delicious, OMG so goood"! These are the murmurings I heard as our family of 11 tucked into their dinners October 19. The chef in me just had to sample the various dishes in front of us. I had thr appetizer ciopino and woodfire salad. More than delicious and enough to fill a hearty appetite! The samplings of lasagna, cod,... More

The Woodfire was recommended by locals. it was an excellent choice as four of us dined over a variety of entrees. The appetizers (house salads or squash soups) were almost a meal. They were rich in flavour and more than ample in size. Similarly, our dinners were excellent. The seafood risotto, seafood lasagnas and a chicken pasta special were all... More

The challenge with island restaurants is that chefs change and the food can be inconsistent but when you know the chef is an owner that you can count on good food! Chris and Sharon have created a wonderful, consistent restaurant - great for a pizza to pick up on the way home or a tasty dine-in experience with a good... More

We were recommended to this place by our B&B--and they were right. Fresh halibut topped with local chanterelle mushrooms. A really outstanding meal, and good service.

Gabriola Island has one handful of restaurants (literally, I believe it is 5). A few years ago, Woodfire opened with classy service and food. A real break from the chicken wings and beer! At my first visit this year, I was treated well on a crowded evening though I was eating by myself. The salmon burger was a beautiful fillet... More
