I had the chicken little wrap, which has curried chicken nuts and lettuce and was very good. While I did not have one, the deserts looked fabulous and tempting! nice atmosphere. Busy and clean.

Visited for lunch, ordered panini and smoothie. Unfortunately, panini came with onion (I am allergic) - no problem, staff made another one immediately and provide a cookie afterwards for the inconvenience, which I paired with a nice hot chocolate. The setting is light, open and relaxing - will visit again

Great coffee shop, excellent healthy sandwiches and healthy snacks. We often stop here for coffee and a snack because it has a very friendly atmosphere.

Lovely snacks of which some are healthy! Great sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. Good soup. Nice ambience and comfy seating. No one pushes you out of the door here. You could sit all day if you wanted to!

Good choice of coffee and beverages. My favorite snack is the Pecan Caramel sable. They have Wi-Fi is useful when you visit the island. Great service.

Love the coffee and the 'breakfast bar' snack - sort of like an elegant rice krispee square but made with all kinds of seeds, cranberries, ginger, etc. The only suggestion would be to add another gluten free option as well as a few diabetic friendly treats. The fireplace is cozy and it's a treat to have wifi on the island.

Subject line says it all. Popular with the locals and in my estimation the best coffee on the island. Haven't sampled the food beyond a sweet treat to accompany a coffee.

I have been to Mad Ronas many times over the last couple of years. Coffee is good but overpriced, their prices make Starbucks look reasonable. Baked products are good. Perhaps a small discount for people who bring their own cups. Not much choice for coffee on the Island so they have a bit of a monopoly.

Mad Rona was a favourite spot for my father-in-law, Frank Van Amerongen. When he passed away, it was just a matter of fact, we would hold his memorial gathering there. The staff was more than accommodating with their delicious paninis and desserts. Had lunch there the day before and I can officially rave about their soups and my favourite chai... More

Most of Gabriola's eating establishments are rustic, but Mad Ronas is new, urban, and would fit well into Victoria or Seattle. Excellent coffee, panini/wraps are fresh and creative. Home made muffins/scones and other desserts that are excellent. Free wifi, comfy seating. Great for a light lunch.
