Delicious food, fairly priced, spectacular setting

You almost need to know where this is to find it: 300 meters down the trail to Skookumchuck Rapids in the park. You park in the small parking lot on the Egmont Road and walk in. They were recovering from a three-fold disaster -- their oven died, they ran out of gas, and then the power went out... read more

My husband and I were super excited to try out the Skookumchuck Bakery and Café on our way to the rapids. We arrived in plenty of time to have a leisurely breakfast and coffee before the hike! What a disappointment to find out that they were closed for the winter. I understand completely that people close for the winter but... More

Hello Jan, We are sorry that we were closed when you were at the narrows and our sincere apologies for the out of date information on our website - it has now been corrected. We are closed for the season but we hope to see you on your next trip to the Sunshine Coast. Also, our "Skookum" cinnamon buns are... More

You should not miss a stop at the Skookumchuck Bakery & Cafe if you are visiting the Sunshine Coast. At the start of the trail to the Skookumchuck Rapids, the bakery is a great spot to stop after the hike. Organic, fresh ingredients and a homemade just out of the oven taste sensation, you will not regret stopping here. They... More

Recommend this place to everyone! Worth the drive, even if you aren't going to hike to the rapids. We discovered it on our way to the rapids and returned 2 days later just for breakfast; which was 30 minutes out of our way!

Muffins and scones were what we needed on our walk TO the Skookumchuck Rapids. And the grilled cheese sandwich with pesto was what we needed to refuel afterwards!

We stopped for lunch after hiking to the rapids and the food was very good and the setting is kind of like eating in a treehouse. The service was friendly and the food freshly made with local and organic ingredients. The homemade English muffin that my sandwich was on was excellent.

This was our reward after the hike to the rapids and it was great. The sandwiches are huge and delicious on homemade bread. The baked treats are varied and lovely as well. The scenery is out of the Hobbit!

One of the best bakeries we have ever been to. Amazing that it is located in a tiny village in a forested location. Everything was great -- scones, sandwiches, smoothies, cinnamon rolls, savory rolls. And the staff was extremely friendly.

We had a breakfast delivered to our cabin at Ruby.Lake. Excellent brew, awesome cinnamon bun and a muffin stuffed with blueberries stared our day perfectly. Also enjoyed the yogurt with fruit. This is a must stop.
