This place is pretty average now, and doesn't have nearly the character and charm it had before. Coffee is good. Food is okay, but nothing like it used to be. One thing you will notice about Burns Lake is the lack of food choices.. You have three fast food restaurants, 3 Chinese food restaurants, a pub or two and the New Leaf Cafe.. Located right downtown next to the Burns Lake sign.. The New Leaf offers quality healthy and affordable food.
Staff is as great as the food...I enjoy eating...

I love to drop in to the New Leaf Cafe for lunch. However, it is a small area and verry popular with the locals so you need to get there early at lunchtime. No MSG so good for health concious eaters.

although this cafe is now closed and will re-open in a new location as "alternative grounds", it has always had superior food. Healthy, organic, delicious, with an owner that cares about her patrons.

Tasty, fresh and healthy. The soups are incredible. Sandwiches, wraps, and pizzas are all fantastic. Great coffee too!
