$12 Burger for $7

As my sister-in-law said, who usually dines in fine restaurants, "this place has so little ambience, it actually has a positive frontier atmosphere." We all loved our burgers and fries. The server was adequate, even though she was more interested in chatting-up a guy at the bar. This place is a... read more

This place is off the beaten path and not much to look at from the outside. But, the food is very good and a great bargain! Service is quick and staff is very competent. Not a huge menu selection which you would expect for a small town. The fact that there were a large number of locals for dinner tells... More

From the outside, you cannot tell if this is a gift shop or a working (and open) restaurant. The entry way is a steep set of stairs to the restaurant upstairs and it is your average bar with sports posters and sports on the television sets. But, the employees are friendly and the food is surprisingly good. Steak, chicken and... More

This is a restaurant located just outside the entrance of the Frontier Village. You have to walk a flight of stairs to the restaurant level. he restaurant largely serves steak and burgers. I had the buffalo filet which was interesting to taste. The salads are nothing special with dressing from a foil pouch. The beers were local and good.

Rustic. Food is better than fair. Small menu but plenty of choices for all. Steak,Chicken,Fish,Shrimp or Ribs. Price is good for the amount of food you get. You have to climb the stairs to eat here as it has no elevator.

Took family here while visiting on a recommendation. You have to be able to negotiate a steep flight of stairs-don't know if there's an ADA accessible access. Our party ordered walleye, sirloin and buffalo sirloin-all excellent, steaks grilled appropriately to order. Salads and condiments were sub-par: overly mayo'ed cole slaw, commercially pre-packaged salad dressing, none appeared house made. However, the... More

The owner has been in the food business for many years and delivers good food at a good price. It is located upstairs and you must be able to climb the stairs as there is no elevator. Rustic decor and popular with the local residents.

The food was okay. I heard alot of hype about the food but I was not impressed. The burger was very thin patty and dry. Prime rib was good.

The Frontier Fort Bar and Grill in Jamestown is located in the Frontier Village on the south edge of Jamestown, right off I-94. The village is a recreated prairie village that is interesting on its own. Also located here are 3 albino buffalo, a must see if you stop in Jamestown. The restaurant is on the second floor of a...
