Good food; interesting atmosphere

Unusual food choices for Southern visitors. We especially enjoyed the cheese wrapped fried pickles. My grandson had his first buffalo burger and thought it was very good. The names of the dishes were intriguing, but what would you expect from "The Toasted Frog"? Service was good.

Visited this cool spot with a friend for a late dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was really cool and they've got a great menu. Don't miss the deep fried pickles (they are different from most other places) and their pizzas are fantastic. Bartenders know how to make a proper drink, too!

Two people in our party enjoyed the fish taco. Scrumptious (we all had a taste. Great sweet potato fries. Also delicious potatoes (hint of wasabi?) Don't miss this place when you are in Grand Forks.

Great meal from beginning to end. Start with some wine from their large selection and grab an order of cheesy fried pickles. Everything on the menu is great and given the quality you get for the price it's a must hit in Grand Forks.

My first time at the Toasted Frog. Great décor, service and wonderful food. Our table had the walleye, filet mignons, and a pork dish. Everything was wonderful. We even had room for dessert and shared a cheesecake and a pear pie. Our waiter was excellent.

This is hands down the best restaurant Grand Forks has to offer. Good food, good ambiance, and good service. Has some unique dishes, and some standard dishes done uniquely. Prices aren't too bad given the amount of class this place exudes. If you're looking for a unique and local food experience, this place is it!

A nice blend of comfort and eclectic foods. The Lamb burger was sound and the fried pickles and Freese salad were very tasty. The rasberry ricotta on lemon cake was interesting. Unfortunately, no espresso. The wine list was reasonable and pretty complete. Easy to recommend as a relaxed adult pub.

While in Grand Forks on business, my colleagues and I ate at three very good restaurants in GF/EGF for dinner, and this was our favorite, hands down. The food was delicious, creative, and very fresh. I am guessing that quite a bit of it was locally sourced. The wait staff was fast, friendly and accurate. The atmosphere in the old... More

Unless you like your fried stuff fried, I would avoid this place. They keep the local heart surgeons in business. Relatively expensive drinks/food but good atmosphere.

I had low restaurant expectations for Grand Forks and I was really, really surprised at the quality of the meal at Toasted Frog. It was a pleasant night so we sat outside the restaurant and enjoyed the small town ambiance of Grand Forks. The food was good with many choices. The staff was helpful even if they forgot about us...
