This place in SW Fargo was a real find. Friendly, helpful wait staff, pleasant decor, great smells. But the food was the big hit. For 15+ years we ate Indian food up and down Devon Ave in Chicago, where there are dozens of restaurants and 3-4 incredible gems. This restaurant could survive in this district -- and that's saying something.... more

This is an excellent little restaurant and was a refreshing change for Fargo. Particularly since, it can be difficult to find anything ethnic in ND. I'm glad to see it made the restaurant list. I recently helped my son move to MT and we stopped in Fargo to eat lunch. We hate to eat at chains when we are on a trip, and happened to see Saffron in a strip mall. We weren't sure if we actually wanted to eat here, as we thought really spicy food and a long trip might not be... more
