I had dinner with my parents here and we all had a great time! Our server (I wish I could remember her name) knew EVERYTHING about the menu, cheeses, wines, etc. as a prior server, it was refreshing to be served by somebody who was friendly yet knowledgeable and accommodating. The menu was diverse enough for all of us to... More

Delicious, unpretentious, creative, eclectic and 5-stars in every aspect of dining. Wine selection was exceptional and desserts were a standout!

Bad food, terrible service! Go somewhere else... Plenty of great restaurants in downtown Fargo but this isn't one of them.

I made reservations in the "lounge," which was not supposed to be the expensive hotel restaurant, but when we went to the bar and said we had a reservation, the server just said, "you can sit here." Thought that was odd but it was the Paul McCartney concert night and they were busy?? My third friend found us and said... More

Great vibe and youthful. Next is the most successful bar in the area for the fashionable crowd. The appetizers were great. Salmon tartar was beautiful and delicious. Good portion too and enough for sharing. The caviar on top was good too. The service was slow and a bit amateurish. The main course of halibut and shrimp was extremely overcooked and... More

The restaurant sign is nearly unreadable and obscure, so we ended up in the bar. The barmaid finally explained to us that the restaurant was across the entrance hall, and we managed to find our way. This is a AAA 4 diamond restaurant, so we didn't expect surly wait staff, dirty fixtures, no table cover, scratched and worn furniture, and... More

We made a reservation to eat at this restaurant before a show we were going to later in the evening. The menu is small and specialized - there is probably something to suit most tastes, but it might be worth checking online before going. We ordered the halibut entree and the "MN grass fed beef NY" (we had to confirm... More

Unique food choices, freshness of the food and the wonderful service from all employees. The food is all grown locally which is a nice bonus.

The service is very good. The atmosphere is great. The menu is trying to be very gourmet. The problem is it comes off as pretentious. I wanted to love this place but with all the menu items having some sort of funky sauce or other unnecessary twists. It becomes a distraction from the food. The food was good but a... More

The HoDo is a long standing fixture in downtown Fargo, ND. It is a funky little restaurant with a relaxed and casual ambiance. The menu is impressive and not very typical of the area. Our server was friendly and returned in a timely manner to check on us. The food; however, was a bit of a disappointment. We both ordered... More
