After reading all the comments about Widman's famous Chippers, I made a beeline for the unassuming little candy shop when I arrived in Fargo. While the reception was very friendly and the chocolate delicious, Chippers just don't live up to the hype. The reason? Too much chocolate, too little potato chip. While there is the faint sense of the chips'... More

I just so happen to run into this place while stuck in Fargo coming home from a business trip. I was pleasantly surprised!

On the way out of town we stopped by to try the chippers. Get 2 of each of the 5 varieties, they are good! Cost you about $5.00 and will make a good road snack! They have a lot of neat gift items as well if we lived anywhere near here. Located in the back side of a big shopping... More

I don't mean chocolate in the shape of an olive. I mean chocolate covered olives. And pickles. And jalapenos. I tried them all! The Chippers (chocolate covered potato chips were good, but I think the chocolate to potato chip ratio is too high. Needs a little less choc and a little more chip). But you gotta go here just to... I am not a fan AT ALL of potato chips in general, but one must try a box (or at least ask for a sample) of their famous chocolate covered potato chips. This is a small local family owned business but they can produce. They will do their best also to accomodate any special requests. I once went looking for... More

Excellent chocolate and candy. The Chippers are my personal favorite. I love that they are available in different types of chocolate. It hard to only eat one!

High quality hand made candy. If you haven't tried the "Chippers" (potato chips dipped in white, milk or dark chocolate) put these high on your list. Try a free sample, then you will buy some! You can custom select a box of candy so if you don't want crèmes or nuts or dark chocolate --- you decide the contents. It... More

If you love chocolate, this is the place for you! The selection is amazing, and there definitely are some unique options! My wife loved the pickles and the marshmallow options (I wasn't brave enough to try either). We also were able to try several samples as well - everything was great! If you are in the area, give this place... More

When we are in town, I love to bring my daughter here. I love the quaint set up. We pick out a piece of candy (chocolate covered marshmallow for here, Chipper for me), and I drool over everything else before we leave. Staff is friendly, they're is so, so much to choose from. Definitely a place to check out for... More
