This is a fun place to eat downtown. If you like soup, this is the place for you. The food is standard diner food.

We were in town for a long weekend and wanted to dine somewhere we had not yet tried in Devils Lake. We sat in a booth in the upper level, facing the street. Very traditional type of diner food and home cooking, as they like to say. One of us ordered a breakfast combo (because it is served any time)... More

Seated quickly and served efficiently. Food is cafe quality, but the service is great. I would eat here every Sunday.

I've been here 4 times. The food tends to be very salty and a bit greasy; however the wait staff are friendly and efficient.

Have eaten here many a time while visiting relatives living in Devils Lake. This is a standard food restaurant with home cooked meals served hot and full of calories. Nothing is fancy yet smiles come when walking out after weighing the amount of food versus the bill. A full measure is given for the money spent. Nothing is outstanding other... More

The Totten Trail Innkeeper recommended the Old Main Street Café. We had the walleye dinner, chicken dumpling soup (which was pretty good), a burger and fries. It was ok, nothing special. Our waitress was generally not interested in working, least of all waiting on our table. There aren't many places to choose from in Devils Lake, and this one was... More

Classic small town cafe/breakfast place, good prices, interesting old-timey photos on the walls. Feels like Garrison Keillor might walk in and broadcast Prairie Home Companion from here. :-)

We got visit my husband's family in Devils Lake every year and my requirement is at least one lunch at Old Main. And that lunch must consist of their wonderful soup bar. 6 choices of soups to include Knefla and Beer and Cheese. Just terrific. And the garlic toast sized croutons! Love it. :)
