The ravioli with spinach and Gorgonzola was excellent. The tomato with bas soup was also very good. Service was excellent as well. The chocolate cake was not worth the time. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Oh lord this place was so loud you could not hear yourself much less anyone else. Its cramped and crowded. You wait forever to get your food and when you do get it, it's not all that hot. If you are over 21 and enjoy loud music and beer or on date that you really don't want to be on... More

Too often travelers (including us) stopping just one night in a city eat at the convenient (hotel) or known (chain) restaurant. Too bad because that eliminates a chance to experience the town. On a recent trip to North Dakota we stayed overnight in Bismarck and, fortunately for us, decided to try something different. Located in a strip mall, The Walrus... More

Nice place - although being in a strip mall may cause you to think twice. Don't! I stopped in as a recommendation from the tour guide at the Capitol - was glad I did. I had "The Maggie" sandwich and I was impressed, surprised and enjoyed it very much. Great selection of food, extensive craft beer selection and a great... More

AC the day we visited was not working. The food that we ordered was not even so-so. The spaghetti and meatballs was not tasty. Several Bismarck residents recommended this café to us and we were disappointed.

Visiting the Walrus with family we all ordered different dishes from shrimp to pasta to crab cakes. As usual every dish was exceptional, the service great and attentive BUT the Crab Cakes were the best I have ever had. Lightly browned, soft and fluffy with a perfectly balanced serving of dressing over greens and vegetables. The contrast was perfect to... More

We enjoy going to the Walrus and love The Thor with the sweet potato fries and dip that comes with the fries! It is a good place to go to if you want a delicious dinner but be prepared to wait in the evenings as it is popular and a smaller restaurant but worth the wait!

The food at the walrus is very good, and the varied menu means that there is something for everyone. Nothing fancy, but a good bar with a friendly atmosphere. I will return next time I am in Bismarck.

Dined here twice with my cousin and extended family. Lunch both times was awesome! The food was fresh, large portions, and hot tea super unique and good! Better than any tea I have ever had any where. Spinach salad super and roast beef sandwich delish. My cousin has a wheat allergy so she likes their tomatoe soup and burgers with... More

I go to The Walrus when I want to relax by myself after a long day or with family and friends for a fun night out. The service is always exceptional and the food is always really good. They have unusual salads and pizzas. Something for everyone.
