We enjoy going to the Walrus and love The Thor with the sweet potato fries and dip that comes with the fries! It is a good place to go to if you want a delicious dinner but be prepared to wait in the evenings as it is popular and a smaller restaurant but worth the wait!

The food at the walrus is very good, and the varied menu means that there is something for everyone. Nothing fancy, but a good bar with a friendly atmosphere. I will return next time I am in Bismarck.

Dined here twice with my cousin and extended family. Lunch both times was awesome! The food was fresh, large portions, and hot tea super unique and good! Better than any tea I have ever had any where. Spinach salad super and roast beef sandwich delish. My cousin has a wheat allergy so she likes their tomatoe soup and burgers with... More

I go to The Walrus when I want to relax by myself after a long day or with family and friends for a fun night out. The service is always exceptional and the food is always really good. They have unusual salads and pizzas. Something for everyone.

Everything was just all right. We shared a house salad which was good, and had a pizza. It was vegetarian with ricotta cheese but not very tasty. We like a thinner crust, so that is a personal preference but this crust was a bit tough as well as being thicker. We had a dark oat beer, recommended by the server,... More

The food is pretty boring - I've been there a few times because the locals think it's so great. Honestly, there isn't a lot of food in Bismarck that impresses me. I love living here but the food is just... not impressive. I love to eat, but living in Bismarck, I've lost weight. If my food is going to be... More

This was a unique and very enjoyable dish. Sauce was tasty and chicken wasn't over-breaded. Waitress seemed overworked; another waitperson would have been a good idea for better service.

Sat. night before Easter was a relatively quiet night for the perpetually busy Walrus. Food was tasty as always and service was fast and friendly. A reliable restaurant for inovative new dishes and old reliables.

Had Dijon Spaetzle (a blend of Spaetzle, corned beef, onions and sauerkraut tossed in a Dijon sauce) at the Walrus. Although the corned beef could have been a bit more tender and could have substituted some of the onions for more sauerkraut the Dijon sauce and the Spaetzle was delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, and as a bonus... More
