Had Dijon Spaetzle (a blend of Spaetzle, corned beef, onions and sauerkraut tossed in a Dijon sauce) at the Walrus. Although the corned beef could have been a bit more tender and could have substituted some of the onions for more sauerkraut the Dijon sauce and the Spaetzle was delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, and as a bonus... More

We have eaten here several times over the years and always enjoyed it but this last trip was above and beyond. We got there pretty late and they sat us right down to eat. Our food was excellent and our service was very good. A great experience and we will be back. The beer selection is very good as well.... More

One of the best restaurants in Bismarck. A must visit if you are looking for good food & great beer. The nightly specials are delicious and the prices are reasonable. Try as you will not be disappointed.

We recently were in Bismarck for the weekend and decided to go to the Walrus after hearing so much about it. It's a bar and grill type place in a small strip-type shopping center. The inside is a bit dark and pub like, which we expected and we liked. We were seated quickly, and some fresh baked bread and herb... More

Thought we would try the Walrus after reading reviews. Not a great experience. The waitress was not very helpful with our beer selection, actually seemed miffed that we were asking questions. Ordered our meal and waited close to 30 minutes. Another larger party came in, ordered, ate, and paid their check after we ordered. Needless to say we will not... More

I've eaten here twice now. The first time, my food was terrible; service was fine. That was last year. So, I didn't want to go again when it was suggested, but I relented. This time, we went for lunch. I had the Reuben on flatbread which I enjoyed. The flatbread was really good and tasted freshly handmade. The Reuben part... More

It took the hostess five minutes to come to the front to address us. The bread is great as is the salmon Oscar except for the whole garlic cloves in my potatoes. It's hard to see inside and they took a while to get us our entrees.they also only have beer and wine.no liquor.

"Sauteed artichokes, asparagus, mushrroms, red peppers, sugar snap peas, squash, onion, fresh spinach, and feta with pesto aioli on grilled flatbread"...mmmmmmmmmm...totally the best on the menu at The Walrus in Bismarck, ND. I decided to try a dish I had a few months ago to see if it was as good as I remembered. Definately too good to share! The... More

After a long day of vacation driving, we were looking for some good food for dinner. Tripadvisor told us about the Walrus. We would have never stopped there if we weren't looking for it as it is in a strip mall. The food was delicious, service attentive, and the wine/beer selection very good. Our family of five, which includes one... More
