We stopped here at the suggestion of a fiend and were pleased with the results. Of course, we had to try the deep fried cheesy pickles ....and honestly, they were delicious. Good wine list, nicely prepared food and pleasant service.....We would go back if in the area.

I've heard such good things about the Toasted Frog in Grand Forks. I've always wanted to go there and being in Bismarck I thought I would try it since I had time. I was disappointed. The menu is nice and there are some nice options. cost is higher than I'd expect. I ordered soup and dessert. I was disappointed with... More

This was my second visit here and the service was great. It's loud enough to have a private conversation at your table without hearing the next tables conversations. The restaurant has a "hip-modern" feel to it with interesting art on the walls as well. The martini list is large and very tasty. The pizza is very good. I also have... More

We were seated right away but I think out waitress was covering too many tables as she was covering inside as well as the patio. Took 5-10 minutes to get out drink order and we told her we were ready to order food as well and she walked away.......Took about ten minutes to get our drinks. We had the fried... More

On our one night in Bismarck on the recommendation of our hotel for a fun and casual place, we ate at The Toasted Frog. There is a very extensive list of drinks, wines and beers, and a good selection of meals ranging from sandwiches to pizzas to entrees. All the food we had was good, but not unique or exceptional.... This a 5 star restaurant in Bismarck, but a 4 star anywhere else. Our food was good. I had pork that was slightly dry for my taste...but I like my pork medium rare. My wife's meal was real good too. The s'more desert was awesome. The wine list was really good too. The music was either really good or really... More

We arrived early on a Friday to get a good table. (5pm) The host told us he just over sat the other sections and we could only sit by the door or we could wait. We decided not to wait and sat by the door. Cold air blew in on us the whole time. We had to eat fast just... More

Meal was good-steak was exceptional. Got a little carried away with garlic, but overall food was nicely-seasoned. Michaelangelo (yes, that was the name on the ticket, though he failed to tell us what his name was because he was too cool for such details) seemed like he would rather be anywhere but at work. Had to ask what the specials... More
