A nice surprise

This is a FRESH seafood restaurant in a funky area of Wrightsville with a limited menu due to the freshness of the offerings. I had an incredible corn and crab chowder that was thick and spicy. I followed that with a lobster cake that was mostly lobster in a mild zucchini sauce from the appetizer... read more

For locals the off season is the best time for Wrightsville Beach. It is when the pace really returns to beach time. We took advantage of the "beach" this weekend to visit 22 North with friends. I won't spend any time on the "decor " other than to say it is a quintessential beach bar. The star here is the... More

22 North is located in downtown Wrightsville Beach. The menu changes daily and features fresh and local seafood as well as other selections. We began our dinner with a kale Cesar Salad that was incredible. The kale was tender and tasty with just the right amount of dressing and cheese. We had the scallop entree--the scallops were tender and delicious... More

We had heard about this place, but had not made our way there, until a friend came to town last week. We were lucky that we went in the middle of the week rather than the weekend as it was an unusually slow night for them. We each had a different entree'. I had their famous 'shrimp & grits', my... Never did I imagine 22 North being a fine restaurant, and I discovered how incredible it is when it was competing and took first place at the Annaugural Taste of Wrightsville, now a yearly event which brings out hundreds of people to attend a growing and eventful food, wine, beer, tasting provided by competing local restaurants who each always have... Very limited menu but excellent food, well prepared and executed. The location is nice but the bar detracts from the otherwise good experience. My suggestion is to create a full menu, ditch the bar, turn on some lights and getv professional wait staff - the chef would then have a successful 4 star place.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The menu was very limited. The food was extremely overpriced, very small portions, and of only average quality. One entree, three appetizers, and one child's meal was approximately $100.00 with tip. I would expect much more for this price. From their prices you would think this a high end restaurant. Believe me, this... More

Four of us dined. All raved about the food. Inside could use a major overhaul. Just white washing all of the dark wood would help. Lighten it / freshen it up inside & 22 North would be a 5 star all around!

When you first walk in the decor is a bit off putting. Feels like nothing has been touched for years and it's very dark. We didn't have a reservation and although there was a steady stream of diners the place never filled up completely so you probably don't need one. The menu is a large chalk board that's brought table... More
