Interesting Beach Restaurant

We hadn't been to this restaurant since in first opened approximately 10 years. We walked in without reservations on a recent Sunday evening with our neighbors. My wife and I shared the blackened catfish stew and crawfish hush puppies, both great choices. The stew was a perfect blend of veggies, catfish, sausage, and wonderful spices. The hush puppies crunchy on outside and tasty on the inside. For the main meal I chose the pork chop with colard greens and mash potatoes and my wife had shrimp... More

For our 10th Anniversary we decided to try a restaurant we had never been to before. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Awesome, Amazing, Phenomenal, etc. I could keep going forever... This is, by far, our favorite Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach restaurant. We met the Chef, Brent, before the restaurant even opened and when we were seated he came... More

We decided to try a restaurant where we've never been for our 10-year anniversary. So glad that we did! From the moment that we walked in the door, the service and attention by our server Jess was perfect. And then the food arrived. it was obvious from the start that the chef truly enjoys picking his local ingredients every day... More

The hubby & I waited to choose a restaurant until the last minute for our date. So I went to Open table for suggestions and only 3 places locally had openings left. Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews we chose to try 22 North. Walking in the atmosphere is immediately intimate and quiet, exactly what we wanted. The menu was diverse... More

Food was very good. Out-of-the-way experience. Decent amount of wine in the glass. Wish we had room for dessert. Would have been nicer if the staff weren't so busy watching Wheel-of-Fortune in the bar area, but that's okay.

My wife and I went in to have a drink and appetizers. We got there right when the opened. We enjoyed the music. Great shegrab soup and fried green tomatoes. Everything made fresh.

Had heard great reviews about 22 North, but ended up being disappointed. The good: Food was actually very good. The chalkboard menu was unique and it changes daily based on fresh catch and foods. They also had a few NC wines on the menu that were tasty. The bad: Dark and dreary bar like atmosphere. The place even had that... More

We ate here the same night as the boat show and fireworks and we looked in the other restaurants near this one and decided this looked to be the best. It is very clean inside and the staff was very friendly and yes the menu is on a chalkboard. I had the gator as an appetizer and our daughter had... More

Average food. The sides were better than main dishes. Soup was ok. Nothing great but if you are hungry it works
