If you would like a good quick hot breakfast this is your place. The value is great and there is a ton to choose from. Portions are big and the service is good. You might have to wait but it is worth it. They only take cash so be prepared:)

Went for brunch on a Sunday and loved this place. May not be your usual fancy brunch place, but the food was yummy! Rustic beach place, we had to wait about 10-15 mins for a table. I had a Lump Crab and mozzarella omelet with hash browns and a side order of sausage - everything was very tasty. My daughter... More

I've never gone out of my way to write a restaurant review but I've literally never had such a bad experience as I did when I went to Causeway Cafe. From the moment me and my roommate walked in, we were never even greeted and didn't have anyone take our order until one of the cooks noticed we had been... More

Just saw it from the road, saw some local vehicles and took a chance. Glad I did. Does not look like much but if you like great quality at an affordable price this is the place. Menu has a little bit of everything so everyone in the family should get what they like. Do not let the decor turn you... More

Hamburgers were 8 ounces , cooked to perfection , and your choice of a side (not stuck with french fries unless you want them ) Warm, comfortable , homey place. Heard their breakfast was great , we will go back.

I have been visiting Wilmington for the past five years, and it was during my last trip that I discovered Causeway Cafe. The service was very good, and the atmosphere exhibited a warm and welcoming feeling. The number one reason that I will definitely return is to have one of their shrimp wraps. I regret that there was something that... More

Causeway Cafe .. is the place to go for breakfast. They do such a great job that you will probably have to wait for a table during the prime season, April -- September. They even offer self-serve coffee on their outdoor deck while waiting for a table inside. The atmosphere is very basic; not upscale. But the food, service &... More

Wasn't sure what to expect based on some previous reviews. Wanted to try the food. Service was very friendly. Brooke served us very personably even though we came in less than 15 minutes before closing! I got the half waffle combo and my friend heartily approved of the crab omelette. Food was reasonably priced, good coffee, tasty hot chocolate. Would... More

Had breakfast here on an off-season Saturday morning. It was surprisingly busy but tolerable. Mike is a real character but seems to genuinely care about his customers. Pancakes are great. Meat Lovers breakfast can easily feed two adults. Prices are very reasonable (cash or check only!!!). Crab omelet was enjoyed by spouse. I didn't care for the hash browns. Would... More

Great atmosphere and food, always on our list for visits to the NC coast. The waffles are scrumptious. Friendly servers, owner makes a point of checking in with all guests, and large front porch for those on the waiting list.
