Perfect beach cafe

While it's not much to look at, this place offered good food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Parking is a bit sketchy if crowded. They don't take cards, cash or check only. The coffee was out of this world good! Really, it put Starbucks to shame. Would definitely eat there again, especially for... read more

This local spot was packed but we were in and out in an hour & a half. The selection is extensive and the service impeccable!! I enjoyed the delicious seafood omelette ( fresh local shrimp, scallops and blue crab). The meal was filling and delicious. The cafe surroundings were wonderful to take in, including the wait on the outside deck... More

If you're looking for a place to clean out your digestive system, then this is that place. A couple of friends and I met at Wrightsville one morning to go see the sunrise and go to the beach. Since none of us had eaten breakfast, we decided to go to Causeway. This was around 7:00, so there were several other... More

Stopped with teenage nephew and niece for breakfast. Unique restaurant with an interesting menu. We were seated in a few minutes even though it was busy. Free coffee and a comfy porch were provided while we waited. The staff are friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the perch and eggs for breakfast. It came with grits. My niece and nephew ate... More

My son and I were looking for a good place for breakfast without paying for a buffet. Found Causeway cafe and decided to give it a try. It's not flashy and relatively small but we found a couple of seats at the counter without a wait. The place was busseling with lots on young people hustling food and drinks. It... More

What a find! Happened to spot the cafe on our way to town, turned around and glad we did. Had a great lunch. Place was crowded and it took a while to get our food but the wait was worth it. On our last morning, we went for breakfast, very fast service, excellent meal. The owner stops by at every... More

My wife and I stopped for a quick breakfast last week and were somewhat shocked by the score of their recent health rating in July 2015 . . was 87.5, grade "B". We thought about leaving but had already ordered. We don't eat anywhere with less than a 94, but it was crowded so decided to stay and just get... More

We went for breakfast. It was cheap ($5.75 for eggs, bacon and french toast). We were offered free coffee while waiting for a table which was not very long. The coffee was good. Service was quick and the waitress was very attentive. The food arrived shortly after ordering. Everyone at my table felt their food was very tasty, cooked appropriately... More

Great diner right off the main drag. The owners make this place feel like a home, introducing themselves and on their feet engaged with customers non stop. The pace here is busy, you can tell they turn tables quickly. The food was plentiful, with a definite North Carolina country feel, big portions and good quality. Cash only, though there is... More
