Very good Falafel and kafta

We ate here today for lunch. I had the Mooney's Falafel, and added a side of hummus. Husband had the Kafta Burger and fries. Everything was tasty - I'd prefer the falafel in the sandwich to be a little smaller, was a bit hard to eat, but that's just my pref. The husband enjoyed his burger. We... read more

My go to spot for a selection of vegan fare. Great beer and wine choices, incredible menu. Love the option to choose 4 items to eat as a platter. Hard part is choosing only 4. Great location, family-friendly and downtown.

The meal was quite good. My husband and I both had the shawarma platter. The meat was cooked to perfection. The portions were good, but there was still more food than we could eat. The service was good and we got our food quickly. We were lucky and it was a beautiful day to eat outside!

My son said the burger was great, but I was more impressed with the vegetarian options. Really nice people and good values if you spend a minute with the menu and specials.

Don't get me wrong - there are plenty of great options on the menu for carnivores. But for a healthy vegetarian or vegan meal, there's no better choice than Mooney's. The Meze plate allows you to make a combination plate of 4 small dishes and pita bread. I particularly like the falafel, cauliflower, hummus, and tabouli. There's an emphasis on... More

If I could give this restaurant 3.5 stars, I would, because two of our group of four were delighted with their food and love this restaurant. But this is my review, this was my first time there, and I was underwhelmed. But I have to say, it's probably my individual taste, not the quality of the food itself. Though it... More

Always good, freshly prepared food at a good price. Good selection of NC craft beers. It's nice to be able to eat outside on the sidewalk cafe or inside! Busy lunch takeout business as well. A great place to have in downtown Winston-Salem.

The hummus is the best I have had. The food is definitely different and wonderful at the same time. If you are up for a change of pace I definitely suggest you try this out

We really like this place. Good nosh options with pita, humus and the usual fare. It's pretty convenient to down town and very reasonably priced.
