This hot spot is so authentic! The gyros are amazing.. So many to choose from, meat, chicken, or veggie. The stuffed grape leaves are to die for! My family loves Mediterranean food. We are in Winston Salem for an event and found this place for lunch. We loved everything we ordered and the whole family had to try a little of everyone's dish! hummus, pita, tabbouleh, lentil soup, chicken and rice, falafel burger!!! We've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food and Mooney's flavors rank near the top... More

It's just a great little corner restaurant. It has a family feel to it and is very casual. The food is very tastey and moderately priced. I enjoy the outdoor seating during warm weather. I paticularly love the gyros.

Go try a sampler! 4 scrumptious choices from the great menu. Really great options: falafel, chicken, beef and loads of veggies. Great selection of beer and wine. Service is friendly, helpful and fun.

I came here to get something quick to take back to my hotel after work. I got the kafta pita and a small baba ganoush. It was about $10 and really tasty. When I walked in, the girl at the counter seemed bored, but piped up after I told her it was my first time. She was very nice after... More

I didn't get to enjoy anything. My first time visiting. Came in at 2:54 right before closing mind you the doors are not yet locked. I'm not sure what I want so I study the menu and when I'm ready to order 3 workers walked right past me without saying a word. Finally a lady says "um. We closed at... More

I love going to Mooney's for lunch especially for the excellent falafel and hummus. I never seem to get a warm reception from the staff even when asking questions about their authentic menu. After ordering at the counter, food tends to take a while to come out. My advice is to avoid the noon lunch rush and do your research... More

If you're anywhere near Winston Salem give this place a try! I went with a friend who raved about it and it was everything I expected and more. The Jezabel is a great entree and the hummus complimented it nicely as a side! I promise you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I came here and we each ordered the appetizer plate-choice of 4- we ordered 8 out of the 9 items. it was really great and enough to fill us up. We arrived when it opened and ordered at the counter and it was brought out to us. $9/plate and then our beverages. I would recommend it!
