Back to college

Great food fir a great price. We all had a wonderfully tasteful meal. We always find a resturaunt to go back to every year and this is it. A live jazz band was playing and set the mood beautifully.

Generic 'high end' dining that doesn't live up to the promise. Sure its much better than Applebee's but not much. It seems like the kind of place that might have once been fine dining but has since decided to stagnate and cut corners while leaving the prices high. No thanks.

I actually ate at this restaurant twice in one weekend. The fried chicken is amazing, and I loved the selection of side dishes. I wasn't crazy about my crab cake, but the rest of the meals that were served were terrific. I gave it a four for three reasons: it was freezing inside; they had a good jazz combo playing... More

Milners is a prize of a place in Winston-Salem. Very creative menu, fantastic service, really well informed servers with a very deep wine menu. Serves very well-prepared upscale southern fare. Operated by a couple of local brothers. I've been there a dozen times with clients, family, friends, etc. I've even attended several catered business functions. Every single experience has been... I was completely blown away by their side cucumber salad...this salad is made with farm fresh cherry tomatoes and sweet onion and a light vinaigrette...I am sometimes amazed to be able to taste real tomatoes! The seared tuna cabbage wrap tacos were good too, but the salad really stole the show for me.

This was my second visit to Milners, and alas, I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The service is excellent, the wine list is great, but the duck entree was tough and fatty. The vegetables were cool to cold, and my pecan pie had a coagulated texture. I'm suspecting an off night, since my previous experience at Milners... More

This is a very "tardy review" of Milner's since we celebrated our son's graduation from UNCSA on May 9. We had reservations and a party of 12 for dinner, and it exceeded our expectations! We live in Chicago, Annapolis, Richmond and NYC with some of the best restaurants in the world, but every time I think of Milner's my mouth... More

We decided to try Milners since it has such good reviews......the restaurant does have a nice quiet, elegant ambiance, but I was a bit disappointed in the food. 38.00 for lunch, which for me was a crab cake, cucumber salad, and sweet potato fries. The crab cake was very fishy tasting and maybe I am just used to the type... More

Went here for dinner. I started with the house salad with buttermilk dressing. The greens and veggies were very fresh and the dressing was perfect. I then had the Black Risotto with roasted vegeables - to die for. The risotto was perfect - creamy and was actually a purple color. It was topped with a variety of roasted vegetables that... More

Love this restaurant which has a broad selection of dishes, many with a Charleston touch. Food is dependable good--the only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do not like the table for 2 set up with banquette and many tables in a row--too close for comfort and conversation. WE always reserve a booth but... More
