Although it did not live up to our expectations given the high Trip Advisor rating (#3 restaurant in W-S), my husband and I did have a nice dinner at Athena. It's a casual and friendly place that serves generous portions of decent Greek food, but for us the quality of the food suffered in comparison to an amazing meal we... More

If you like real Greek food, you need to try Athena's. Lunch features are available and allow you to try new dishes. The Horiatiki salad and their stuffed grape leaf is excellent, as well as the various Greek style chicken offerings.

If that's the number 3 restaurant in Winston Salem. I'm going on a diet! Nothing was good! Hummus was boring. The gyro was big chunks of nasty meat. Tasted like a lamb substitute. They Say this is the best Greek in WS. Don't eat Greek here!!!

I'm not that expert in greek food but God this is good! Awesome service, live music and great aromas. Feel comfy and satisfied by the moment you enter.

Generous, flavorful portions of classic Greek cuisine. Wonderful service, a great atmosphere and weekly live music. WInston-Salem has a lot of options for Greek, but Athena is far and away the winner.

We came here on a date and left very satisfied and happy. We ordered the house wine, hummus, vegetarian plate, and the gyro plate. Everything was excellent, but we particularly enjoyed the spanakopita (on the veg plate) and the lamb. The portions were very large and we had enough to take home and make another meal out of. We definitely... More

Stopped here for lunch, basically on others Trip Advisor recommendations, and were glad we did. The building is not much on atmosphere, but that won't fill you up! I went with my wife and ordered a couple of our Greek standbys: chicken souvlaki on pita and a gyro platter with Greek salad. Both were quite good. The gyro was the... More

Feels like Greece. The servers accent. The music. The way it looks. Friendly. Very friendly staff. Smiles all over. Food was great. I had a special for the day. The salad was great. Loved the place.

We have been going to this restaurant since we moved from NY. The food is consistently good. The portions are great, & the owner makes you feel at home. When you want to go out but don't want to go for broke, this is the place. You will not be disappointed whether you have just a Greek salad w chicken... More

You just can't beat the quality or price! Family owned and the best kept secret in Winston. Even non Greek savvy people can get some great chicken, lemon potatoes and salad for under $10
