Totally hit the spot, and will do so again no doubt!

Exactly what I was hoping for! All the Greek favorites on a big menu, and it looked like some non-Greek stuff too, but who cares about that. Had 2 different Greek beers, and my sweetie had a couple glasses of a house red. Pretty good! The appetizer plate of Tzatziki, Hummus, Melitzanosalata... read more

I visited the new Athena m it knowing what to expect. I found a clean restaurant with a good staff and good food. The pita choices are numerous and a good value. I had the gyro pita and it was flavorful and filling. The waitress was kind of scattered but she was probably new. I would definitely return.

Winston-Salem has a long tradition of excellent Greek run restaurants. Athena has the most authentic Greek food. The best Greek salad! The Greek spaghetti is also excellent. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.

I've been to several Greek restaurants over the years and this was close to the bottom. The food was mediocre and the service was average at best, I would not go back.

One of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. Greek salad with chicken breast is terrific. Chicken is freshly charcoal grilled. Souvlakis are wonderful too. Try their daily dinner specials that include Greek potatoes and green beans. Vegetables are always tasty and well-prepared. My only complaint is that the brand of olive oil they use has a strong aftertaste.

My family and I are regulars at this restaurant and eat or carry out twice per week. The food is always fresh, flavorful and consistently excellent. Service has always been fast and top notch. I am going to go there tonight and grab a cold mythos beer, hot flaming Sagnaki(OPA), Greek Salad, and the Best Souvlaki east of the Aegean.... More

People rave about this place. Maybe the sign on the front door "Help Wanted" was indicative of the poor service we could expect to receive. It took forever to get bread which was the highlight of the meal. The spanitopika was reheated in the microwave...cold spots and hot spots. The special of the day was chicken and rice with green... Our waitress made the meal a pleasure with her attention to my 7 yr old grand daughter. We will be back. d

I dont know why the ratings on here are so high... I mean, the food wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was that great either. The food's not even memorable. The manager or owner lady was nice, but my waitress just seemed to be trying to get her work done. As a first time customer, i would've appreciated being... More

Read the ratings and wanted to give it a try. So surprised at the portions served for the price they charge. I was able to eat my fill and have enough for a large dinner for my husband. Great flavor and selection. Excellent service.Best meal out in a long time. Can not stress enough the superior service we received here.... More
