Mambo Chicken

Southern fried, skin on, coleslaw and mambo sauce... you've got to try it then treat yourself to it at least once every other month! Delicious!!

Restaurant is small and atmosphere was snug but comfortable. The majority of the customers were dressed up. So, I felt out of place in my jeans and tennis shoes BUT the friendly staff made me feel comfortable. The main dishes were odd combinations. The salad portions was a bit small for the price. The lemon pie was delicious.

I personally have not had a bad meal in this restaurant.sometimes there tends to be a little longer wait but it's well worth it. If it's spring when you're there definitely need to try the spring vegetable soup delicious. The salmon is awesome they have homemade pork rinds that are wonderful served warm and much much more the waitstaff to... More

This place is Awesome! Everything I've ever gotten from here is unique & tastes awesome! Wait staff was great. Atmosphere is ok but you can feel crowded depending on seating location

Four visits and I've finally learned: the staff and probably the management feels put out by waiting on people. Begrudging is a gentle way to put it. The food is tasty typical low country fare, but please do not visit and think this restaurant is emblematic of the otherwise gracious Winston-Salem. It's not

This comfortable limited seating downtown restaurant is located near the art district. Great comfort foods with great daily specials. Good wine list. One problem is the limited parking..

The food here is wonderful, stick to your ribs, southern soul. Located in the Arts District, you should plan on arriving early to enjoy the vatrious galleries and shops in the area, then head to Sweet Potatoes for one of their delicious meals. I have never had anything here that wasn't delicious. I highly recommend a basket of their sweet... More

Great Sweet Potato Fries. Nice jazz music and excellent chicken. A bit small dining room and a little loud. But worth the visit for the scrumptious food.

Great Southern food with a flair! Great atmosphere, artwork, staff as well as housed in an older building. I've visited at least 6-7 times and usually get the same dish (the hamsome) with fried okra because it is just delicious. The owners are hands on. The place is always crowded so go early if you don't want a wait.
