Wonderful Food at Fabulous Prices!!

My daughter and I recently had a meal at Sweet Potatoes and it was so tasty! The atmosphere is sweet and fun and the service is outstanding. You have to try at least one dish with sweet potatoes - so yummy! We had salads which were fresh and tasty. I had a southern style soup (collard greens... read more

We went for Sunday brunch and it was to die for. Some of the most yummy food you will ever find. If you live in Winston, you must eat here. If you are visiting make sure you find a way to stop here. My wife had the Trade Street Eggs benedict, and I had Chicken and Sausage gravy biscuit. They... More

My friends and I were trying to decide on dinner so I pulled up Trip Advisor and did a search for places close by we had never tried. We decided on this place and we were not disappointed. We sampled each other's dishes and they were all yummy. The Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Okra were mouth watering, defiantly worth... More

We ate here last evening and were pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, great service, decent food. The only thing we didn't enjoy we didn't care for were the fried green tomatoes . They seemed to be out of season. Would definitely recommend stopping here for a good meal at a great price.

This restaurant makes lunch a special occasion. I ate here with a couple friends and we had an exceptional experience. Our waiter was great; helpful, friendly and attentive. Our lunches were all great; the meatloaf, the catfish and a chicken sandwich. All of them were prepared in unique and artisanal ways that made them extra tasty and special. We loved... More

Came in without a reservation for dinner with business colleagues. We were immediately seated. We started with fried livers, tomatoes, and okras. I ordered their fried chicken which was very good. Overall the food was delicious and prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend if you are in the downtown area.

Sweet potatoes was excellent. We did have to wait till half our party was present before we would be seated but it is a tiny place. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had two vegetarians in the party and the staff helped direct them to great choices. We had one big peice of cake and the whole... More

Read all the reviews and eager to try this place. Service was friendly and accommodating. Appetizers were fair. Fried green tomatoes, okra and fried chicken livers. Big portions but similar to what you might get at a chain restaurant. Shrimp and Crab Pilau was really just fair at best. No great flavors and the shrimp were small and didn't taste... More
