Great home cooked meals, great salads with homemade dressings! The fired chicken reminded me of Sunday dinners at my grandmother's house.

Sweet Potatoes seemed pretty busy when I came in alone, but, oddly enough, they didn't try to seat me at the bar. I didn't have any problem with that, as I preferred a table that night anyways, it just struck me as odd. Other than that, nothing stood out to me about my service that night; it was good but... A close friend, my wife and I ate at Sweet Potatoes on a Saturday afternoon following a trip to Old Salem. It is always a pleasure to eat at the restaurant. The noise is moderate, the people and staff are friendly and the food is always delicious. Jasper was our waiter and he was a delight. He guided us through... More

We visited for Mother's Day 2014. There was a long wait, but it was well worth it. Loved the sweet potato fries. The fried chicken was amazing; it was juicy and very flavorful.

Crowded with a lively, diverse and hungry crowd, two seats at the bar (the bar stools have backs, yay!) were a great alternative to waiting for a table in the busy dining room. Southern cooking has certain signature... More

Good local restaurant. Love the atmosphere and the feel of the place. It feels like a family meal, really top notch fried chicken and the sweet potato biscuit was incredible.

My daughter and I recently had a meal at Sweet Potatoes and it was so tasty! The atmosphere is sweet and fun and the service is outstanding. You have to try at least one dish with sweet potatoes - so yummy! We had salads which were fresh and tasty. I had a southern style soup (collard greens, black eyed peas,... More
