We have eaten at Sweet Potatoes several times over the past few years. It is consistently a memorable meal. Some people refer to the food as "Southern with Soul!" I would call it Southern with Style and Soul!" The Camel City Oyster Salad is one of my favorites. Catfish NOLA is another favorite dish of mine(and my wife's). Spaghetti with... More

My husband and I dined at Sweet Potatoes for dinner and the entire menu was worth trying. Everything looked so delicious. I just told my husband to order any two entrees because I simply could not decide. We settled on the center-cut pork chops with sweet potato corn bread, pan-seared fish and shrimp on a bed of risotto, spicy homemade... More

Small restaurant that serves a variety of southern style cuisine. The two owners work hard to offer a very nice selection of entrees, appetizers and cocktails. The food is consistently outstanding and service is prompt once you snag a table. Don't forget to try the Sunday brunch.

My son selected this place because we love southern fare and it was recommended by locals and on Urban Spoon. Loved everything about the place! It was like eating in a little southern house from an earlier era. The menu had items on it that we both wanted. I loved the catfish and he especially liked the sweet potatoes and... More

Great food, great atmosphere. Was told about this place randomly while waiting in line at the pharmacy. Was in for business and so glad we stumbled upon a wonderful little gem!!

We have heard several reviews from family and friends and decided to check it out for ourselves. Upon entry we were immediately greeted by what we termed our Auntie. Love the ambiance and fact we grabbed a quick seat by the door. We will definitely come back with 2x the cash to get 2x the dessert! Sweet Potato Bread Pudding....... More

I visited this restaurant yesterday and had the fried shrimp and oyster appetizers along with sweet potato cornbread and sweet tea. Everything was good. My mom and daughter had the fried chicken and sweet potatoes. They enjoyed it. My friend had the salmon and enjoyed the taste but said it wasn't hot enough. I would eat there again.

We were a group of eight, on a busy Friday night, without a reservation. No problem. Although not a large restaurant, a table was found for us quickly and . . . most importantly . . . in a gracious, welcoming manner. Instead of being seated at a long table, our table was square; we sat two to a side,... More

I dined here with 3 friends from work and we all agreed that our lunch was excellent. Two folks had the fried oyster salad. Another friend and I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich, which was superb! The service was quick and friendly, so we could get back to work on time.

In town for a convention and found this restaurant on trip advisor. Ordered the collard green dip, it was excellent. Also ordered Gullah shrimp andcrab pilau very good but a little salty. Others ordered the salmon and said it was delicious. If I'm in Winston-Salem again will come back and recommend to others.
