Food quality is so so. Only go there if all the other restaurants in the area are full. Servers are ok but not great.

Nice atmosphere, food just OK. I had heard great things about this place from friends, but was a bit disappointed. I took my son and some of his college friends out for dinner there, and thought the food could have been better. Our server wasn't terribly friendly and seemed a bit impatient. It wasn't even crowded when we were there.... More

Our server for our meal, a Sunday early dinner, was friendly to the point of solicitude, but even if he hadn't been so attentive, our party of six would have liked the casual vibe and good food. The Filling Station serves up Italian-style dishes, such as Tuscan Chicken and tortellini, and American standards, such as pork tenderloin and a surf-and-turf... More

Great place for a large group or just couples or family.. The best area in which to have dinner, lunch, or brunch is the outdoor courtyard. It is warmed by heaters in winter, cooled by fans in summer, and beautiful greenery and surroundings. a very pleasant dining experience!

Food and service is great! Not much of a bar area but on warm days the patio is outstanding and very inviting.

I like it more for the ambiance than the food. As the name implies, the building was once a filling station, and the exposed brick walls add a nice touch. Also a big fireplace, nice in winter. As other reviewers have noted, the shrimp and grits is the signature dish. I'm not a grits person, so I usually order fish... More

The shrimp and grits is obviously their signature dish and it is worth the price of admission. However the crab dip was ok and the bread which looked like sliced hot dog bunds was burnt. The atmosphere is ok and the host was pretty cool but the waitress was sub-par. I would go again but hopefully get another waitress.

Had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at 4th Street Filling Station and it was unbelievable. Great service, great food, great wine selection, great staff and great outdoor patio with star lit and candles on the table lighting. A perfect place to hold your son or daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. Everyone raved about the food, the staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend!... More

When traveling for business or for pleasure, I try to make it out to places that seem like they might be enjoyed by the locals. This one was within walking distance of my hotel, and the reviews seemed okay, so I went to check it out. It was a very busy night for the middle of the week, which also... More

We went with a group of 6, service and surroundings were excellent, food good to very good depending what you order. Go in warm weather, their outdoor seating is the nicest in town. Of the appetizers ordered among the group, the Carolina Crab Dip was the best. I did not order it but their signature dish, Shrimp & Grits was... More
