Our first visit here was for lunch today, and it was pretty much a mixed bag. This is a nice sized place which used to be occupied by South By Southwest. The lighting for the booths against the back wall is low, so the menu can be tough to see. We were the first customers there (about 11:30), and the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hawthorne Inn, which is across the street from the restaurant, so we decided to try it out. The restaurant was colorful and decorative, very fun atmosphere. I had quesadillas, and they were very good. My husband had a burrito, enchilada, and tamales, but he said they were too salty.

I've been here twice, and both times the food had very little flavor or texture...just mushy and warm. I mentioned this to the cashier as I was paying, and his response was "well, we sell a lot of those!" -- doesn't make it tasty, though.

Had a lunchtime meal at Senor Bravo. Shrimp over rice with onions and peppers with a garlic sauce. The food is a step up from the usual Mexican restaurant. Salsa and chips are good. Service was not. Once our food was served no one came by again. Had to call out to a waiter to get his attention.

Beware. They WILL take 3-5$ extra from your card. I had cold food and was neglected by the waiter for 20 minutes. I signed the receipt for a ONE dollar tip (even though they deserved nothing) and two days later my card had an extra $4 charged. This is actually the SECOND time this has happened! The first time I... More

I went to Senor Bravos for the first time. The outside looked fun, the inside was dead but that was fine. The waiter saw me come in and I was the only customer but I still sat at the bar a while before he finally handed me a menu. He never smiled at me once and I felt bad for... More

We often enjoy a lunchtime meal at Senor Bravo. The food is a step up from the usual Mexican restaurant and is near Old Salem and Downtown Winston-Salem.

As a Texan, I feel qualified to rate a Mexican food place. This restaurant is across the street from the Brookstown Inn. The food was good for North Carolina Mexican food.

The food is really good and the menu is huge. My favorite as well as my friends favorites is the Burrito Califonia. Definitely go here during lunch because it is 2-3$ cheaper than dinner. Nachos Bravo is another favorite that comes with shrimp steak and chicken! Service is a hit or miss. Once you get your food you will be... More

Average.....at best. Was recommended by a business associate - and wow, their standards must be low! Went on a Sunday afternoon - very few people in the restaurant - and yet, the service was below par. Nothing memorable about the food, either. Decor was typical - but on the way to the restroom - it appeared as if the back... More
