Great place to eat - pleasant food in a relaxing environment

Took the family for a Friday meal here. The restaurant was really busy - a good sign. Started with the flat bread, which was delicious. Lots of mozzarella (be careful if you are not a fan of cheese !) I had the tuna for my entree. It was cooked perfectly. Was served with summer vegetables... read more

Interesting diverse menu. Pork ribs were moist, tender fell off the bone. Great smoky flavor. Delightful duck breast and Rib eye. Great service and a lively atmosphere in historic train depot. And walking distance from the hotel.

A little hit or miss on execution but they get full points for trying. Many of the ideas on the menu were great they just needed to be worked thru and perfected. That said, even in their developmental stage you can appreciate what they are striving for. I recommend splitting your choices between the tried and true staples and the... More

One of our favorite restaurants, this restaurant is agreeable to work with any type of diet choices you have. Fresh food and good wine. Pleasant service that is willing to work with you. Atmosphere is fun. The only drawback is their vent in the kitchen. You come out smelling like the food they're cooking.

Bread Pudding very dry and Chocalate Cake had a very weird tasting frosting on it . It was very... More

I had taken my family to Winston-Salem for some antique shopping and we were looking for a good place to grab a late lunch. I called Willows Bistro and they informed that they were open and serving their lunch menu until 5:00pm on a Sunday. We arrived at 2:30pm and there was a decent crowd, which we felt was a... More

What a unique dining experience, every time! Terrific for lunch, supper, or just an appetizer and a glass of wine after work. The chairs at the counter are the best place to appreciate the chefs in action :-)

Called ahead to see if they have a bar (they do) and the beers were $3 the night we visited. Didn't eat anything but the food we saw going out of the kitchen looked amazing and they do a brisk business. Every table was full! The service was friendly and accommodating. Will return for a meal.

Had been looking forward to trying out this generally well liked Winston bistro. The brick decor of the old train station is very appealing and the a/c especially appreciated on a hot muggy day. Save terrace eating for spring or fall. My tuna salad with pineapple was pleasant and made more so by a cool glass of prosseco. My companion's... More

This is a beautiful restaurant in an old train depot -- a definite hidden treasure! The crab cakes and grits were incredible and I would certainly come back to try additional items on their menu. We had great service and everyone enjoyed their dinner. A little on the pricy side, but very good!
