Like the food here but the atmosphere is crowded, loud and they never seem able to control the temperature.
What a lovely place. It is so nice to be greeted by someone who appears to have a stake in the enterprise and not just an entry level hot honey in queue for a waitress’s job. The setting is very “café” with a bar and a bit of an “open kitchen” look. We were there in the early Spring but... More
Ate here with my newly minted PhD niece who is working with Wake Forest U. It was a Monday and wine was half price so we were way ahead of the game. The wine list was very reasonable with no snobby labels. As mentioned by other reviewers, the menu was limited but had enough choices to please most people. We... More
The service and the food were better than good. My kids had cheeseburgers and scarfed them up with abandon. My little steak couldn't have been better. I ordered a glass of Malbec and when I tasted it, I was disappointed. We decided that the bottle had been opened longer than it should have been. They opened a new bottle and... More
Many, many visits...and Mozelle's is always good. The menu is limited but the favorites -- fried chicken and tomato pie -- are consistently available and very good. The spicy collard greens are a must. Wine list is reasonable and good enough, especially on the specials nights. Service is very good, at times over the top! Over a period of years,... More
I know that a lot of others love this place. My experience is just different and I've been at least a dozen times - both in an effort to "give them another chance" and because I was invited as a part of a larger party. The fried chicken is excellent! The tomato pie is excellent. And that's the most good... More
Nothing I can say will do the quality and taste of this food justice. You MUST try it for yourself. There is a reason that it is is rated one of the best places to eat in the south. Who knew fried chicken and mac and cheese could taste so extradordinary?! LOVE that they had outside dining complete with throw... More
I have come to love this little gem of a restaurant. They have elevated Southern cuisine to a fine dining experience. I have never had anything here that was not wonderful. Ryan is a great server.
Visiting from out of town and we were not disappointed. Started with the best fried pickles I have enjoyed anywhere in the south. Opted for the meatloaf and braised ribs and which were both outstanding. Didn't want a full bottle of wine so the waiter arranged for a 1/2 bottle of one of our favorites. Accommodating and cozy. Wish we... More
Mozelle's is easily one of the best restaurants in Winston-Salem. Interesting takes on southern classics with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The staff is friendly and competent, the atmosphere is perfect for a date and the menu changes with the seasons. The lobster sloppy joe's are unbelievable!
