This is the place for Eastern North Carolina Barbecue. I enjoyed a barbecue plate with brunswick stew and cole slaw and, of course, hush puppies. The food was excellent. The service was the best. This is a family restaurant. I enjoyed my visit.

When we are in Wilson at lunchtime it is hard not to end up at Parker's. Their barbecue and fried chicken are very tasty, and I love the slaw. The servers seem to be in constant motion. If you decide to come for Sunday lunch, you'd better come early because the line develops quickly and extends into the parking lot.... More

Outstanding service, food and atmosphere. Been going since I was old enough to remember eating and the inside of the building looks the same as it did in 1972. :)

This is authentic East Carolina Barbeque--shredded slow-cooked pork with vinegar and spices--distinctive, regional, and delicious. Very lean mix, no fat discernible. Not enough vinegar? Add more yourself from the bottle on the table. Get the combination plate, which adds, to the healthy serving of East Carolina barbeque, a piece of fried chicken and four (4) sides. I learned a new... More

You see the smokehouse out behind the restaurant and you know that you've made the right choice. Once seated service is quick, you think the waiter is coming back with a question but instead he's got your food. And what food, smoky, perfectly chopped barbecue, unusual long cornsticks, perfectly fried chicken and mayo-less vinegar based coleslaw that matches the rest... More

Best known place in the south for their mountaineering barbeque. people come from miles around just to visit Parker's. We take out of town guest, usually by request and are never disappointed.

Food was really good, especially fried chicken. Fast service with 2 serving lines for takeout. Very friendly people. Only problem was a leaky roof from ac unit.
