Eaten here since I was a child! Get family-style (whole table has to order...) or order individually. BBQ is the eastern NC style pork BBQ prepared with vinegar and seasonings. Fried and barbecued chicken is good too. When ordering, notice the large BBQ plate is only $.50 more than the small, then go ahead and get the large. It's twice... More

Excellent Eastern NC BBQ (vinegar based). Parker's has been around forever and it still remains outstanding. Excellent service by the young guys in jeans/aprons/paper hats. Great sweet tea. No alcohol.

The parking lot tells you all you need to know. Full of local people from all walks of life coming to enjoy a midday meal.Your basic Southern meat and 3 doing barbecue right. The service is excellent by a staff of young men waiting on tables and hustling back to the kitchen to bring your food. I enjoy the large... More

No frills, just tables and chairs on hardwood floors but it is very, very clean and the service is excellent as is the food. If you want good southern fried chicken and barbecue with all the "fixins" this is the place! Don't go for Sunday lunch unless you go early or late because the line is "out the door". Well... More

The finest sit down, Down East, family friendly, low stress dining around. Parker's barbecue and 'fixins' are a true taste of Eastern North Caroliina vinegar based bar-b-que. Service is quick and friendly. The management is always out and about with friendly chatter with the diners, especially Eric, a true diner friendly manager. Parker's seafood, especially oysters, is always delicious with... More

I have lived in Wilson for 5 years and I still don't understand why everyone thinks Parkers is so good. BBQ is ok, the slaw is mustard base and nasty if you ask me. The BBQ Chicken is the best thing they have going for them.

Parker's has been a must stop every year returning north from Florida, this year they really let us down. We arrived an hour earlier then they told us on the phone they would be closing just to be told we were too late. Very disappointing to see others still enjoying their meals and not being allowed to join them. Oh... More

We decided to do a take out from Parkers. While known for BBQ and Chicken, during Oyster season they have fried Oysters. I went to the front entrance (although the take out entrance is a side door.) I was greeted going in by one of the owners (Eric) and told him I wanted a take out. I promptly gave the... More

Parker's was recommended by a Welcome Center when we entered N C. We waited to get there. It was terrible -a surly waiter and barbecue and sides were all but uneatable and we left food on our plates .

Built in 1946 , this classic eatery is still serving some terrific minced barbecue and fried chicken, price is extremely reasonable, service is extremely fast. Very busy location.. for 8.68 and all you can eat barbecue with sides, unheard of..! Very Friendly and a must to stop buy for old fashioned service and great food
